Will Jack Clarke cut it in the Premier League?

Ipswich are buying young players for the future who will be good in the championship to ensure they come straight back up when they get relegated, and next time in the premier league they'll be more experienced. Clarke is not worth more than 20m because he's unproven in the premier league, but he'll go along way to getting you promoted to it.

Depends how Ipswich use him. Can see plenty of games they won't have much of the ball and he'd be very effective on the counter, driving the ball up the pitch or catching teams out leaving space behind.

I'm not convinced he will be that good in top division.

I think his main move of cutting across and shooting into far corner will be stopped from game 1

He didn't use his left foot until Saturday and I think thats something Reggie would have worked on.

But I've nothing against him. If he does well good luck to him.

I can’t believe people think this

How many left footed assists do you want him to get?!

He gets to the byline plenty. It’s why he’s able to cut inside too. If all he did was cut in, teams would block it off

I actually like how Ipswich is doing business. They really are setting themselves up to have a go at playing progressive football and staying up - and if not - then absolutely crushing the Championship when they come back down next season. A bit like Burnley. IF they can keep McKenna - my guess is relegated this year, promoted next, then they'll stay up on the second time of asking. BUT if McKenna goes or a decent % of their buys don't pan out - then they'll fall like a rock back to the bottom of the Championship.

It is weird people don't seem to understand that's how that works. Arjen Robben made a whole career out of it.

I think he'll really struggle. He won't get anywhere near the time on the ball he got in this league with us. He's a good player but at a poor PL team he'll shine in 2/3 games this season.

I want him to have an absolutely unbelievable season and Ipswich stay up by a single point so his market value is at it's highest and they sell him on for £50m and we gain another £5m-£10m in the process.

Do I think that is going to happen? Nope but I think he will be steady away for them.

Well you can believe it now as I just said it.

Think a lot of people on here are over estimating how good the prem is mind

There’s some shite teams kicking about the bottom half of that league, Ipswich potentially being one of them but he’s more than good enough for a bottom half team

If he gets close to ten it’s a good season.
