Jack Clarke

For all we were soundly beat, I didn't think that team acquitted itself too badly. I think they showed enough to suggest as individuals they could slot into a better side (i.e. the first time) and do ok. Rigg certainly proved as much.
That game highlighted that a number of them are way off championship standard. Anderson, hjelde, ba, and rusyn from that starting 11 just not good enough. It also highlighted we're extremely vulnerable in the right back.position.

One of the more positive performances came from.mundle, but he also looks like he's not ready yet. He's raw and his final ball needs a lot of work.

Our first season back in the Championship Alese had an awful performance in a defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup. He was one of our best performers at times later that season.

What I can't understand is the short sightedness of it.

With Clarke in the team the likes of Ba, Dan Neil, Rigg, Roberts all look like better players.
We've sold him for 15/20m, much less than he's worth, but I reckon at the same time him.leaving will knock the other players down 1m each at least.

So a net loss to realise a short term gain. Put him in the team all season and we finish in the playoffs and suddenly everyone out of contract will be worth more. He makes them look better than they are because he can carry the whole team.

Did they factor this in? Does abyone?
This club we support seems to exist to torment the fans and i feel sorry for most happy clappers as dissonance will have to be turned up to the max to bullst there way out of this news. I had us down for a narrow loss and perversely i could see a closing of ranks and a draw. But make no mistake our season is ahead will end as another no show.

No need to feel sorry for them.
By definition they're happyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Until the actual fee is disclosed we are all pre judging everything. It will all come out in the wash and then either get out the pitchforks or opposite. Regardless of how it looks from the outside don’t underestimate the agent pushing and promoting Clarke to all and sundry. He will get a canny cut regardless of the actual sum
This. I'm sure Harte will have hawked his man around every possible buyer lately, if there was any chance of wringing an extra million or more from this deal he would have, so unless his agent is really shit at his job then we have found his value. Like everything, it's only worth what somebody is willing to pay. There was nobody willing to pay more here.

Ba's been more than good enough on plenty of occasions.

Love how quick this has happened. Bid goes in, bid accepted, medical the next day.

Meanwhile our shower of shite are nowhere near anything as usual. Still haggling over a player months later. Ffs man. You couldn’t make it up !
That’s pretty fair tbh

Inevitable really. Clarke deserves a crack at the Premier League but I think he's maybe undervalued. Disappointed we won't see him in red and white again though.

I also think Harte was insistent on a pay day this summer so hasn't had Clarke's best interests front and centre otherwise he'd have actively pushed him towards a more established Premier League club: a Crystal Palace, Wolves or West Ham type who are more likely to still be there next season. Big risk as Ipswich's defence looks weak to me.

Its great business…. for Ipswich and Harte
Yep, will probably be able to get a higher salary now as Ipswich will not believe they got him for £20million less than his market value.

Like I said earlier, if these clowns were in charge at Palace they would have accepted £40million for Guehi 3 weeks ago!
