Jack Clarke

Everything we've seen the last few days said any fee would be 25m plus add ons. Pathetic we look like we've rolled over. Wonder if Clarke has been putting pressure on the club.

Club made a mistake selling him to Ipswich they are the epitome of what could have been.
Saudi sympathising KLD needs hounding out. Smug prick.
When do the schools go back?
Glad to know you endorse all those views.

FFP wouldn’t allow us to spend £140 mate, we would spend about £20m & come straight back down.
once youre on the gravy train the number 1 priority is to stay there - im pretty sure they wouldnt be daft enough not to make sure of that

Buy back clauses aren’t often used in deals like this. They’re more common in bigger clubs who can let players go but may want them back after they’ve developed.

Good example is Spurs have a buy back in place with us for Cirkin if I remember correctly?

There’ll be no chance there will be one in place with the Clarke deal.
You’re right, although thankfully Spurs buy back option for Cirkin has expired

I'm pissed off as fuck about this and absolutely gutted 😢. The only other player in my time I was this gutted about losing was Darren Bent.
15 f***ing million man, what's the point? He's worth way more than that.

I'm not sure about that. They have been fairly clear that this is how they will operate it's just a shame it's not as much as we should have got. And it's to someone that 2 seasons ago were starting the season in league 1.

Seeing a lot of comments saying the fee won't be invested anyway. So if that's the case what does it matter if we got 20m or 25m?

People should be philosophical
Players moving between clubs is part and parcel of the game
I agree generally.
Only problem for me is we barely got to see a really great winger for us play at the same time as a decent striker! That will bug me for a while.
Aside from that I’ll be ok with it if the team keep playing well and winning games

And bang! There goes the positivity after a perfect start.

Some context - Jacob Greaves, a 23 year old defender went from Hull to Ipswich for £21.5m.

For the younger members on here learn this.
Whenever there is the slightest chance that things at this club are looking up, a massive kick in the bollocks arrives and you’re back to square 1.

Haway man, we scored 3 on Sunda and could have easily got another couple without Clarke's direct involvement, which granted was a pleasant surprise.
He is pretty much involved in everything we do. Last season he was head and shoulders above any one as a threat. Won the freekick we scored from, assist mayenda for a tap in, scored the week before. Its a pleasant suprise mayenda bagged two at the weekend, but none of our players are anywhere near as reliable as clarke when we are going into our toughest opponent of the season

Much though I'd like for Jack to have stayed, he gets to play in the big boys league, getting paid a LOAD of cash, compared to what he was on at SAFC, so everyone's a winner. I'm not sure Ipswich is a great choice, though.
