Jack Clarke

This was to be expected for the model we have. Ross Stewart was sold for good money after he scored all our goals, now weve done the same with Jack Clarke after doing similar..this will always happen until we get to the Premier then it all changes as were on a level playing field in money terms.....

Mundle, Watson, Poveda....Isidor? there is plenty of potential to fill the void and hopefully we will soon forget about Clarke, thats the way it has to be unfortunately
Be honest, if we did manage promotion do you think KLD would fund the required strengthening?

Rutter 40m - 48 games, 7 goals, 15 assists
Jack Clarke 15m + 5m add ons - 40 games, 15 goals, 4 assists, plus 9 goals and 12 assists the previous season.

How is one worth 40m and the other worth 20m? I get the feeling we have been desperate for any sort of fee to cover improved contracts and pay for other transfers. So much for the money being there 👀
I know which club is making more profit in those deals

And other clubs will know this, we’ve hardly been shy about our “sustainability”. It’ll be even more prevalent now we’ve accepted this bid.

Someone highlighted before we paid more for ndong than what we will be getting as a fee from Ipswich. That was 2016. Unbelievable really.
Grim. It's what happens when the owners give you a transfer budget of 0 and you need strikers

yes of course....remember we havent got £140mill burning a hole in our back pocket that premier league clubs..people need to grasp this

The club never wanted Clarke to stay. Who'd have paid for the strikers otherwise? Certainly not the owners.
I have a feeling that the compo for Mowbray and Beale may be a factor in this, not to mention funding the new deals for Rigg, Ballard, Jobe and hopefully Neil. Then there's the much needed improvements to the stadium, although small change compared to everything else.

We only ever owned 75% of Clarke, so while the 25% hit is a bitter pill to swallow, we've always known about it and couldn't use that to push a valuation that Ipswich have for Clarke.

Perhaps Clarke had a release clause that we put in his contract and were then obliged to allow Clarke to decide whether he wants to go there when it was met? The status of Ipswich is none of our business.

We've even gone and put a sell on clause into the Ipswich deal ourselves, and if it's also 25% or more, that will take the deal to around £25m anyway, just some of it delayed. A lot of transfers are not upfront, so not unusual in that respect.

The coming days will be very interesting to see whether we hear any explanation, and then keenly watching any investment on transfers to address what has been a poorly balanced team for far too long in terms of being almost a one man team. An experienced striker and a decent left sided player could and should transform us, especially when combined with a rapidly developing young team who've started superbly.

Stop calling people f***ing idiots for having an opinion and grow the fuck up. Probably your best bet as you're not looking very clever at the minute
According to Sunderland they accepted the bid because the player was desperate to play in the premier league

Let that sink in and reflect on it.
Then tell me did we match his ambition
Obviously, I think every man and his dog knows that

Whinging like a bitch all day won’t change it
You really don't get it do you.
My point which has gone completely over your head ( bless you) is do you think we matched his ambition

Agreed a deal though I read that but nothing about him actually going.
Any good luck to him,we move on.
At least wasn't on last day of the window.
Course he’s going. The player has been sounded out and terms ageeed before a team makes a bid. Happens in most deals
