Jack Clarke

What surprises me is the fact none of the top teams were interested in signing him why? There was only the promoted and lower premier teams and one championship club looking at him. So is he really as good as we all think, I’m not to sure as much as I’m gutted he’s gone I don’t think he will have the success he had playing here against top premier defenders.
He’s not good enough for that level. We saw him against the mags, albeit that was one game. Fantastic stats at this level for goal contributions but very inconsistent delivery. He’s a luxury player who can play for 5 minutes in a 90 like at Cardiff.

He’s worth a fortune for us but not to a premier league club. I don’t think he’ll do much in the prem personally. I’d put money on him getting less than 5 goals at that level

The teams who went from finishing in the playoffs to not finishing in the playoffs the next season?
[/QUOTE]

They stayed in play off contention and didn't sink the the bottom of the table like some on here are suggesting

No, because they will more than likely be smart enough to keep him.

He’s unlikely to be sold in future for more than we are getting for him now. We should have held them to ransom.
We are obviously skint & needed the cash to come in before we could bring a forward in.

So they're no further forward then.

Todd-Tueart-Watson-McCoist-Bracewell-Gabbiadini-Bridges-Phillips &Co………..
McCoist not really in the same bracket. We got good deals for the majority of them. £15m is cheap and a failure of our owners' financial model and they don't have a ready made replacement. Ipswich wanted promotion, our owners didn't. Not sure Clake's agent has found him the right situation to go into but that's not our concern. Disappointing but wholly expected, especially after last season's debacle on and off the pitch.

The reality is once we get promoted and eventually we will, we will do the exact same thing and pick best players from the championship which we will hope will have a go if not, will allow us to bounce straight back up. It is what it is. Wish the lad all the best. Absolutely gutted he's leaving but me move on. We been here before

Dreyfus is just a younger version of Donald. Racked the club up with millions of pound of debt because he doesn’t want to put a penny of his own money in

Everyone looked shit under mick Beale

If it means we can get two strikers in and potentially strengthen other areas then there’s nothing to suggest we can’t be stronger for it
Other teams have had to sell players it’s what is at this level
Good chance for Mundle now who I think has got something if we give him a chance
Disappointed he’s going yes, could we of got more probably , end of the world stuff definitely not

Absolutely petrifying how many people on this board are happy with that fee we’re gonna spend about 2 mil of it forget the start we were f***ing tragic for 4 month end of last season. Without Clarke we have absolutely no chance of being play offs never mind keeping up the momentum we have at the minute n when people start getting restless yous can all turn round n say but we’ve got 15 mil in the bank spurs see 4 mil of it aswell what a joke

He’s by far our best player worth double that there’s everything to suggest we can’t be better going forward
