Jack Clarke

Great player for us but I can't see him setting the premier alight.
The defenders are a class above what he has been used to.

May not be, probably every English player wants to play in the premiership.
The implication is one of the club's primary reasons for selling him (for such a low fee) is Jack's desire to play in the Premier League. Altruistically.

You just know instantly that this is lazy PR bollocks.

2 hours ago you were saying Harte was the main culprit, now you're blaming the club.

Obvious as daylight Harte has verbally agreed a pay package with Ipswich with a more significant agent fee package, told Jack about it and he's gone to the club and put a transfer request in. At that point you don't want to keep a player in the dressing room who doesn't want to be there hence the less than expected fee.

It’s sound like Clarke asked to move to Ipswich
Its up to the club to accept a fee first and foremost. When accepted then given permission to speak to the club.
Doesn't sound like Clarke has engineered anything.
Just sit back, let your agent whore you around and bingo.
Money for Harte, Money for Clarke.
Who cares. time to move on..

Rubbish mate...(I had to google)

"in a way that involves caring about others and helping them, despite not gaining anything by doing this"

This is why it is a strange move for Clarke. He will be back in the Championship this time next year. I may have a biased opinion but for him, this is a shit move.
Agree I said it earlier in the day when this move was mooted, not to play the small club bollocks but haway it’s Ipswich mate they are one of the favs to drop straight back down and barring some absolute miracle he will be back at this level in less than 12 months. It’s a shit move for the lad, he will be in a team struggling playing against much better defenders. I’ll be honest a move to Leeds makes more sense than this. Closer to home, return to the club it all started and chances he could play a huge part in a promotion. But it seems his head has been turned by a season of premier league football. Shame for the lad I guess if he does well another newly promoted team or team like palace may go for him in 12 months time.

Agree with main point. Im not cinvinced he'll do much in prem.

If we spend wisely this could be the making of us. Lets see if kld and speakers have the cahunas to push us further. Spotlight firmly on them

Good money i suppose but poor decision by him but he will be miserable getting humped every week and relegation on his resume. We may pass him on the way up.

You don't sell a player under his valuation unless it's for 3 reasons.

A) The club's financially broke (unlikely)
B) A better replacement is lined up (unlikely)
C) The player wants out. (more than likely)

A- doesn't really matter as we wont spend what's not made.
B- will be a cheap option
C- Agent did everything possible to get him out.
