We reek of a lack of ambition. I am
50+ and remember when relegation from the top flight meant an instant expectation that we would strive to return. Instead now we as a fan base are ecstatic at the rumour of signing U23 forwards with the CHANCE of becoming good whilst selling the player you should build a promotion bidding team around. Good luck Jack, you join a club having a go and leave one mored in mediocrity.

Think this is the plan. FWIW I don’t think it’s that good of one but like you say we have a number of options still in that position, I’d add Rusyn as well.

Say we got Isidor and Simic. Then used a bit of cash on a DM (rumours of Triantis going on loan again) then we move forward with the following.

GK - Patterson, Moore
RB - Hume, Pembele/Huggins
LB - Cirkin, Hjelde
CB - O’Nien, Ballard, Alese, Seelt
DM - Neil, New
CM - Browne, Jobe, Rigg, Aouchiche
RW - Roberts, Poveda, Ba
LW - Rusyn, Mundle, Watson
ST - Mayenda, Isidor, Simic

Still some quality in there I’ll admit we are weaker though.

Don’t begrudge the lad the move, he’s performed out of his skin for us, carried us a lot of last season and has always been professional despite his knob of an agent. Wish it wasn’t Ipswich because I think he deserves better.

Disappointing fee, however he would have gone for less next year/ January if hes refusing a deal. Personally would have liked to see the club risk it and bank on promotion. but there it is

Was reported earlier today we had rejected it…can only assume he’s kicked off? Doesn’t seem like the type of lad to do that but I can’t make sense if it any other way.

Just shows the hierarchy don’t think like us fans in the slightest imagine thinking that offer was worth selling him, abysmal.
 
The sell on fee is going to be interesting. If he has a good season in top flight and a bigger club pay a big fee then there’s another pay day. I’m gutted but it was inevitable.
