I know they're in the Premier but it just smarts losing a player to Ipswich like. FFS.

£15m is rotten too.
He's been an absolute joy to watch over the last couple of years though. And started in top form again this year.

Exactly this. I can accept him leaving to play at the level he deserves to be playing but if the stated fee is accurate, it’s nowhere near his true value.

He was settled up here mate but our wage structure was a problem (just like Stewart). I believe when he first asked for a new contract, we offered an extension basically on his same terms.

There was a bit of ah issue behind the scenes back in June and it looks like the club finally started to increase the wage structure. We offered a much better deal recently but it was too late.

Why is everyone in meltdown ? He is still our player ATM, and we haven't accepted any offer , , until it's on sky sports news yellow breaking news thing it's all speculation
 
Not paid any attention to the thread and said hope he stays on another.
That said, if it is 15m plus add ons, I’m not sure what we gain from that…as it’ll work out at about 11m after paying off spuds, but what price for a winger or striker even that scores as many as Clarke does.
I’d have rather the club swallowed the 11m and let him walk in two seasons time, because we all know 11m won’t give what we lose player wise

If it is something like that I hope the club say so. That **** Harte saying he can’t comment could maybe because of what you’ve suggested
