Jack Clarke

He still has 2 years. 15 million is a fee that could be considered this time next year if we didn’t go up and Jack didn’t sign a new contract. Be madness to consider 15 million now considering we would loose 25% of that. He’s worth a lot more to us now than a poxy 11-12 million.
As somebody else posted I wouldn’t mind if we said stay another year, here’s a deal that increases your wages and we’ll reduce our asking price next summer.

We aren’t only restricted to selling Clarke, even more so if the deal only gets us 11-12 million…..Christ Udinese offered us half of that for Ekwah

If we got the two we are linked with, and kept Clarke, it’s hard to argue they aren’t going for it.

Probably as much as they can within budget. I agree.

I just think it's lining up that maybe Clarke is on the way out and deals are approaching, as they did before and around the Stewart sale, based on that sale.

Hope I'm wrong as a fan I'd rather see Clarke for another season.

Big sell on with Ekwah as well tbf.

Tin hat on but i believe there are others who have more importance to the club if sold ala no.1 for me would be Cirkin. There is a dearth of quality left backs just look at the top sides ala Zinchenko, Ake/Garvidal, Cucurrella (none that great for the elite level or converted cb)

Once we have a few goal scoring strikers Clarke will be a loss still but not that much in the medium term. Its when you lose players from the spine of the team that can cause major damage ala Stewart

You can’t seriously believe that a player that has struggled to stay fit is more important than our best players and main creative asset since he signed?

Think about what you’re saying man it’s complete shite

I think that’s just what the end of the window looks like for most clubs tbh.

Once we have some goalscoring strikers as well, before even one of them has landed and one of the ones linked is 20 and outside of B team football he hasn't really "done it" yet even if he looks a prospect.

Without a thought as to who gets the ball into the area, for the likes of Mayenda's second on Sunday.

Possibly and we've moved on from Mendy by all accounts. It could be that we're looking at the young lad and a loan with a view.

We're SAFC fans though- we know how this sh*t works 😀

That doesn't necessarily follow. It could be a perfectly acceptable offer but they also want to wait until after the window slams shut
Trust me if it had have been acceptable it would have been signed…he genuinely wants to stay but like any player in his position they would expect a pay rise.

Ala Luke Shaw who is treated differently due to the dearth of quality left backs. Clarke is a very good Championship player but some would argue is quite one dimensional at a higher level.

25m is good business. Plenty of wide forwards/wingers in the game atm
