Burstow was a massive let down. Its a shame Stansfield changed his mind.

Easy to judge in hindsight

To be fair some didn’t judge in hindsight. Some raised a genuine concern at the time that we signed 3 kids with a combined age of 58 year old with very little experience of men’s football. It was never going to give us a realistic chance of promotion. Many knew it from the outset including our Head Coach.

Only good thing to come out of the cold war, they brought in multi skilling for the tech trades, 2 jobs one wage, the beginning of the end imo.
