I think someone from the PL coughs up our asking fee before the close of the window and he will go but I’m not seeing your viewpoint that everything is pointing to him fancying the move and certainly don’t see him refusing to play

Got £10-12mn for Stewart and 12 months left on his deal, who was also still out with a snapped Achilles.

I don’t think Clarkes value drops anywhere near 50% if we keep him this window.

Plus, £25mn seems too much for people so far. Bids of £15-16mn have been mentioned since January. I’m sure we could get very close to that figure this time next year.

We should increase the price by a couple of million with each day that passes. If Leeds want him that badly they should pay for the privilege.

EDIT: and if they won’t pay up they can get to watch him for free two games this season

Ideally we lead Leeds on for awhile so all their eggs are in one basket, sell him to someone like Wolves/ Palace etc. outside our league on deadline day for a massively inflated fee and already have our replacement in the door/ ready to go.

If Clarke going means we get three players who improve our first team then i'm for it to be honest. We're so close to having the team we need.

The club will sign players who might be ready in 2 years time that’ll probably take a year to learn the language. See Ross Stewart

If the club are asking for 25 million then I cannot see them budging on it because of the two years he has left on his contract .
We have players now that are worth some serious money and have come a long way
Still a distance to go( especially off the pitch which is a shambles in many areas -still ) but I’ve a feeling the club won’t budge on price -and don’t need to

If we're giving Spurs 30% then I'm not surprised the club won't entertain £16m.
He's worth more to us than £11/12m
