Jack Clarke

Leeds would be a dreadful move for him 😂

They are currently in the championship and are a yo yo club.
Why would it be a dreadful move?

He would be moving to a club that is more likely to gain promotion, whilst increasing his back pocket, substantially (no doubt).

Staying would probably the last thing Clarke wants to do...but he's very professional and knows in 2 years time, if he hasn't been sold, he will have plenty of offers - providing he continues his form and remains injury free.

Starting to get dangerous now.

He's clearly not going to sign a new contract. He'd be a fool to do so.

So if he leaves this month, then a replacement is looking less and less likely by the hour.

If he doesn't leave this month, his transfer value drops with the fact his contract is running out, with only 2 years left on his deal.

Leeds would be a very good move for him. They need someone to replace Summerville and although Clarke isn't as good (and to be fair, they were never going to replace Summerville with someone of the same standard), he's a very able replacement. They are also in a decent position to gain promotion. PL football with Leeds is much more likely than if he stays.
Leeds is a sideways move at best, the only pull being he’s from near there and started there. It’s sideways at best, only thing is wage bump and closer to family.

He’s been before & got booed why rejoin them he loves it here
It’s not as if home is more than 90 mins away either. Could understand if he was from London and a London team come in but Leeds is a short car trip away. The only upside is the massive pay bump Leeds look shite so far and can see them being one of ten clubs along with us pushing for playoffs so footballing reasons it’s sideways.

Leeds is a sideways move at best?

He'd be in a better team, with a higher chance of promotion.

And Leeds will no doubt offer him a substantial pay increase.

It's nowhere near a sideways move

You’ve started shite, have sold a lot of your better players with a little unrest from what I’ve been reading needing to balance the books somewhat. You’ll be pushing for playoffs just like us and another six or so teams. It’s sideways at best with the only upside getting a bumper contract. If the lad wants to return to his team I have no issue Leeds will have to pay the fee we want but purely footballing reasons it’s two sides that have recently failed in the playoffs and are aiming for top two but more than likely be looking at playoffs.

I don’t think being closer to home is relevant for Clarke. He’s from York which is probably an hour or so away from here.

His next move will be all about the best place for his career.

If Leeds meet the asking price and he thinks they’re a better bet than us to get promoted, offer him a substantial pay rise and a lengthy deal he’ll no doubt go there but I still think a current premier league club will take him late in the window.

Best place for his career but also more money. It’s always the deciding factor no matter what’s said really

Agree got no issue if he wants to go back to “his” team I’d never have owt against any player wanting to do that or a big wage increase it’s a short career after all. But purely footballing reasons it’s nowt but a sideways move when he’s been linked with premier league moves, even a move to Ipswich would make more sense even if it’s likely to be one and down in premier league.

You're wrong again. There is nothing more than I'd love, is to see the dirties fail.

But as for comparing to Leeds. Leeds will finish higher, of that there's little doubt looking at both squads and managers, unless there's a lot of business done in the latter stages of the window.

Based off what? Yous beat them if you’re a smoggie and they’ve looked very average in the other games. They’ve lost a lot of their better players and manager wise who knows he’s done well in this division and failed too like last season. Reggie is an unknown just like carrick was when he took over and done well since.

Bizarre why you're so arsed about this
If he’s a Boro fan ?you just have to witness how much time several others spend on this forum .
Mind havnt seen them for a few days? -no doubt they will return offering very little other than to try and belittle us once they get a few wins and we lose …
Attention seeking was at its worst last week .
