This Is Wearside - Poppy Day Display


It just won’t work unfortunately, if the club are against it then a certain section of the support will always be against it.

The libel shit that was being thrown about on here and social media about the SO37 group was unbelievable. That’s before a poster started comparing the flags to 9/11.

Again however, you can't then do displays at the women's games and not bother to do a single thing for the first game of the men's season!

It would only take a handful of people to dish out and collect a couple of dozen flags surely?

FTM has always been banned in fairness. It's a bit OTT but there you go.

The assumption was it was contractors working within the stadium. The flags are held in cages but are unlocked so anyone can pull them out. This Is Wearside were only let back into the stadium recently to discover the extent of the damage.

Not having a dig, just stating facts.
The flags have never been put in plastic bags, there is no cage lock up for the flags, This Is Wearside have had access since the last month's of last season. SO37 asked the club for cases or similar from the off but nothing ever materialised.

I asked for evidence the club is on 9 fa safety reports. Got no reply and they went around different threads asking for evidence of whatever I'd posted.

Only repeating what I was told from someone that helps with the match day displays. I've no first hand knowledge myself. Certainly told me one of the group had bought waterproof bags to put gear in and that they'd been opened as there was no locks on where they were stored at the back of the stand. Like I say just passing what I was told.
 
Seen a few posts saying 'ah so we wont be able to have anti-mag stuff'. Why do we want anything about them anyway. Its all about us

I think when money is tight and lack of material/time/people the best thing to do is be efficient. Paying hundreds for a banner for one game. He will get shown appreciation on the day.
