This Is Wearside - Poppy Day Display

Tbh I would just gaff the whole thing off. The apathy around the club at the moment seems ingrained .
Much prefer a more natural build up in atmosphere rather than the forced stuff. It’s looked good in the past but on to many occasions it’s been spoilt by club and supporters not getting in early enough which leads to a brief holding up of display before kickoff then a hurried collection afterwards

I think what they’re saying is all the materials for these kind of things come from the same factory in Germany. They’re the biggest and pretty much only place that produces this kind of thing.

They’ll have been inundated with printed banners, pitch flags, all the merchandise for the Olympics etc.

Now I’m not saying that a reason not to have a display because there’s hundreds of items that are already in circulation. They could put the surfer out.

As I say, I suspect it’s to do with the club being arsey but the new group don’t want to lock horns with the club the way we did because look how that ended up😂

It’s not a shame for my social life mate😂
Did not mind the putting out but collecting them in was a back breaker😁
Have they not got access to dozens and dozens of banners that already exist , and are stored at the back of the south stand?
Yes

It's a thankless task, takes hours and hours of work, with the club trying to stop them at every turn, for what is less than a minute of a display that then gets ridiculed by our own fans

I’m sure the first game of the season at home and off the back of a league win will build the natural atmosphere and if it’s a canny day as expected then the plethora of home shirts on display should bring the colour.

don't believe any of the shite they spout, it's just made up for attention
I've tried to be a bit more patient with hetton lately but I did just ask a simple question before and it was ignored and then continued to just post more things without backing it up

Aye totally agree. The stick these lads got last season from fellow fans was disgraceful. The way the club treated them was disgraceful.
That’s why I would have taken all the flags etc and stored them safely , only to return when the club changes its dire attitude towards fans.

Got to be honest, i would have ben tempted to do this meself if i was running it but it would just make things worse, it was fan money that paid for a lot of it after all.

The amount of stuff we had, we’d have needed a 40ft container to store it in and even then it would be tight.
