The Hundred 2024

Shows how little attention I pay to one day stuff.
Seriously, I was genuinely surprised. The guy was fielding on the boundary. I suppose it wouldn't apply if he was closer to the strip.
They've been putting mics on players involved right in action since the outset of T20.

Here's Warney moments before bowling to McCullum

It has been known for the bowler to be mic’d up speaking to comms whilst bowling. I recall Warne doing it a few times in big bash. Quite fascinating actually when he would talk ball by ball through his plan whilst we could watch it play out perfectly to plan.

Thanks. This is all new to me. Stuck in a time warp - thought all the VAR and extra substitutes in football was crazy enough !

Comment from Atherton
The ECB says that ticket sales are broadly in line with previous years, at about 96 per cent of capacity. Large swathes of empty seats at many (although not all) matches suggest that either those figures are inaccurate, or significant numbers of ticket-holders are not turning up to matches.

So who's telling the truth regarding crowds.Athers or ECB?
Potential buyers will initially accept the ECB claim, then they'll investigate and find the truth.
It's then true appeal for investors will be revealed.
Fear is that ECB will have bankrupted cricket by then.
And some wonder why cricket lovers despise the tournament.

It's not the capacity of the whole ground, it's what's been put on sale at different venue's
