Interesting ramifications for a couple of counties losing key players for the end of the One Day Cup group stage and beginning of the knockouts mind.

(Whilst leaving all the 16.4 franchises alone . They’re not even hiding it now)

If anyone likes a flutter, Leicestershire are 4/6 to beat Gloucestershire tomorrow, it’s a winner takes all in terms of qualification but Gloucestershire are losing three very key players to the Lions.

Ollie Price, Zaman Akhter and Ajeet Singh Dale.

Didn't realise this began today.

Looks like our bowlers are enjoying themselves. 7 down for not many

Ahkter with only his second fifer in first team cricket as Lions bowl them out for 139

His first one included Root/Brook as his victims for Gloucs earlier in the season.

Clearly likes bowling at test match batsman and not so much your usual Division Two opponents.

First time I've seen Shaikh bat, looks decent.
Was great for the U-19s at the World Cup.

His FC debut and he's 87* against a test attack. Yet sad state of affairs he's not got a chance of playing for England because he's scoring at 44SR.

James Rew scored over 1000 runs last year as a 19 year old at 57 average, but 50 SR. Meant he had zero chance of getting in as England keeper ahead of Smith, Robinson and Cox

Lions have built a sizeable.lead on First innings. Let's hope SL put up a better fight in the tests.

Maybe we should arrange an England v Lions FC match. Would be much closer.

Sri Lanka come out like the clappers today now the weather probably better for them

70/0 from 14.1

The Lions bowled 15 overs of seam in the first hour against a test match team, despite going at 5 an over.

Wonder if England will manage the same against Sri Lanka @brandon somehow I doubt it

I know SL are shite these days but the number of good young players in that Lions team is exciting. You could see McKinney spending more time with England than Durham going forward.
