Otherwise it has all the hallmarks of the ill fated Borini saga under Poyet.

They’ve definitely got to set a deadline on it mind because we need to have sufficient time to tie up a deal for an alternative player if Mendy seems impossible to do.

I honestly don't know the above , has he said so anywhere ( maybe links on here but not trawling through).

He’s been quoted in the French press as saying something like (and this is not an exact quote).

FFS, we need to move on... from this guy.

2 experienced goal scorers, hold onto our 'talent" and get Bris a couple of assistants. We then might have a side.

I (like many others) was very happy when KLD took over ( although there was smoke and mirrors about ownership). Now if we are to push on, it needs investment, tic toc

Ps sacking Speakman would show KLDs intent.

Won’t even get one at this rate.

PL U21 league loan will be what happens and maybe a free agent if we don’t just bite the bullet and pay up for Mendy.

Speakman won't be getting sacked.....he has delivered the owner a young squad worth about £100million, having spent not much.
 
I really can't see Caen keeping Mendy, he doesn't want to be there, it'll get near the end of the window and he will be let go IMO, he's made it very clear he doesn't want to be there and doesn't want to play for them

Dropping from the PL and Championship in successive seasons, rotting for seasons in L1, scraping back into the Championship and struggling badly last season are the results of " good windows " in the transfer market ......... ?

Obviously any signings we made since 2016 weren't up to it going by our recent history.

Apart from selling RS, we never make money selling players and we've certainly bought more duds than quality.
Yes, Ballard, Cirkin and Huggins are good players, but injury prone. Clarke is a stand out, but we'd sell him in a flash if KLD saw ££££ offered.

' Good windows' count for nothing unless we achieve promotion and the last eight or nine seasons haven't been ' Good windows ' on that basis.... unless you think getting promoted from L1 is an achievement 🤔
