Leeds sold winger Summerville to West Ham for £25 mill (plus add ons.) I think Jack Clarke is at the same level and is worth £25 mill or we dont sell. Lets just loan a good striker . Dont sell if he dosnt request a move.

Just a reminder mate, we don't need to be selling players at a "fair" price. Its what he's worth to us. Spurs will have a big sell on too so its got to be worth it for us to sell. I'd be surprised if it was less than 25 mil
Also SUmmerville would have been more but he had a clause

i dont think anyone would pay £25mn for clarke..rightly or wrongly..

He is invaluable to us. However much we receive for him, it won't seem like enough.

I feel like our valuation will be far more than suitors are willing to pay, will come down to how much he pushes for a move.

Ah but he’s a better singer 😜

Jack Clarke isn't anywhere near the same level as Summerville.

Jack Clarke scored 15 goals last season with 4 assists in 40 games and of those 15 goals, 5 were penalties. He averaged 1 non pen goal every 4 games.
Summerville scored 21 goals last season with 10 assists (20 league goals and 9 league assists) in 49 games (46 league games - including the PO's) and of those 21 goals, 4 were penalties. He averaged 1 non pen goal every 2.875 league games.

Now even taking looking at the underlying data (using FBRef):

Jack Clarke in the last year is putting up numbers of 0.19 NPxG per 90 and 0.24 xAG per 90 - TOTAL 0.43 NPxG+xA per 90
Summerville in the last year is putting up numbers of 0.32 NPxG per 90 and 0.30 xAG per 90 - TOTAL 0.62 NPxG+xA per 90

Summerville is well above Clarke on underlying stats, both in goal threat and assist threat.

Summerville was one of the best players in the league last season.

No way in the world is Jack Clarke close to Summerville in performance or valuation.

In fact, he's much closer to someone like Isaiah Jones. Jones who isn't on pens for 'Boro, scored 8 league goals last season and had 4 assists, in 35 games. 1 non pen goal every 4.375 league games.

And also, Jones' underying data is much stronger too, with Jones putting up 0.35 NPxG per 90 and 0.17 xAG per 90 - TOTAL 0.52 NPxG+xA per 90.

Anything above £10m for Jack Clarke would be good business. £15m would be very very good business. £25m is a pipe dream.

Are you out of your mind 😂😂😂

Summerville was playing in a top 3 team that had quality players around him.

We were relegation fodder and Clarke was basically our only forward player in the team and had no one to support him. Put Clarke in that Leeds team last year and he would have smashed Summervilles figures.

Leeds had probably the best attacking players in the league though and without Clarke we were absolutely minging.

Put him in their team last year and I'm sure it would be completely different.

Also what the fuck are you on about

Clarke no better than Isaiah Jones? 😂 I’ve seen it all on here!

Jack Clarke is a great player and very very good for this division.

But lets not kid ourselves in thinking he's something that he isn't.

He's not near Summerville's levels.

Never has been.

Has he got the potential to be? Of course.

But there's nothing so far to suggest he's worth the same valuation as Summerville.

Summerville is even younger than Clarke.

The stats are mostly bollocks though, you can’t compare a team challenging for the league to a one just surviving.

Put Clarke in that Leeds team last year and I think he’d have ended up with similar numbers.
