Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

Wouldn't bother me too much, it's inevitable that'll he'll leave, it's what this whole model is based around tbh, the worry will be if he leaves at the end of the window and the funds won't be used to strengthen the team.
Any examples other than a crocked Stewart who we got 10m for?

The charge that they sell all of our good players just doesn’t hold water.

If Clarke leaves it’s because someone is willing to pay daft money.

I’m by no means happy with the current striker situation we have brought in too many unproven players that have simply failed or are just not ready for this level. We have obviously identified this lad to be the one that breaks that chain and it’s not gone according to plan.

On the flip side we aren’t getting rid of our better players and some have even extended their contracts. I’m so torn at the moment regarding how the club is run. Off the field we were a disaster last season but this off season they have started to put that right with commercial, stadium improvements etc.

I know how massive we are and we should expect better all the time until we are winning things but at the same time we are trying to come back from the brink and do that in a sustainable way that ensures the future of the club. I’ve come to the conclusion that I will just let them get on with it and what will be will be. Those talking relegation etc are nuts.

"More respectful to the technical recruitment aspect of the club"

Alreet Speakshite?
Would you care to tell us what the fuck this even means?
Instead of recruiting foreign teenagers for the 1st team we have recruited championship experience so far and looking for more experience up top.

Beale was clearly a defensive minded coach which didnt suit our players. RLB clearly has a more attacking mentality and high press which absolutely suits our players.

Whilst everything isnt rosey right now I see a huge shift in approach from the directors with the recruitment and I think we'll see (with a bit of luck) a far more competitive side. Disclaimer - we need a new striker asap aswell.

I hope history doesn’t repeat itself with another Willie Pettigrew or Tommy Lund situation, where neither signed. We’ve had a gaping hole in the model since Ross Stewart was injured. All we need is for common sense to prevail. Either the money men allow a one off purchase to fill the gap. The alternative is to sell one or two of the squad to make funds available. I cannot see any of our existing strikers being able to lead the line, hold play up or regularly score and be able to bring players in to the game.
The teams in this league have us sussed . We need to stop dithering as points lost cannot be regained.
If we’d had a striker versus Ipswich at home in the first game last season, we would have won.It was down hill thereafter.

We had the same players here last season and they struggled to win games not having a proven centre forward. If we are going to go into this season with the current squad will struggle to get anywhere near the top ten never mind the top six...

Hope he does. I like him

The lad has potential, but like Hemir last season he shouldn’t be going into the first game as our leading striker

Let’s hope we get a striker or two through the door so he can develop without the pressure
This

Bring him off the bench by all means but don’t put him as our number 9 and ask him to score 15+ goals
