Those two players would then give the chance and importantly time for any of our young forwards to develop and then hopefully be able to step up.
 
It's all If's and buts regarding players coming and going, as yet again we seem to playing second fiddle to other clubs. The one thing I do know is we are now entering the pot luck part of the transfer window. And God forbid we don't end up with another Burstow...

This. Being told by loads on here about 2mill for Hjelde and the other kid is pie in the sky. Dont care where its reported that just didnt happen.

It really is frustrating. Mowbray had us top 8 with Burstow up front. If we had a good one it's not impossible we'd have been top 6

You reckon it is Caen new lads?
I heard we wouldm't meet their asking price from the start and it's not just come about since the new lads came in.

I'm living in hope they are going to produce that miracle and roll out someone we had no clue about.

I only find out certain things at certain times, would never say I know the ins and outs of the club, I just get to know some bits, there’s every chance a signing could be announced tomorrow that nobody knows about.

Honestly, I really do.

I was told we had agreed a fee with the old hierarchy just before the sale went through and just before Bordeaux went boom. The fee I was told was 1 million up front this summer with various add ons (I don’t know the value or context of the add ons.)

It’s clear to me that either the new owners or Bordeaux going bust has changed things. But honestly I reckon the new owners just want more cash up front and less variables added on.

As I’ve said before it’s just a stare off at this stage to see who blinks first and I think we should just bloody blink and get the bastard over and done with.

ALS just posted on newsnow and Mendys agent is blamimg the old hierarchy and not the new.
