I think heā€™ll last the season. Thereā€™s no way theyā€™ll sack someone who took 4 months to find whom they had been tracking for over a year. What credibility they have will be blown completely.

I don't think dodds and proctor are hated mate .... just disliked for not winning football matches and their ability to keep their jobs when all around them are getting the boot!Speakman is doing a fine job (for kld) but its not the job the fans want and that's the rub ..the fans want a team with a striker or two fit for a promotion push and kld simply wont spend the funds needed or hike wage structure to provide this !Sunderland people and the north east in general dont like waffle ,obfuscation and half truths and thats what were getting over recruiting a striker ,and the assistants for Brissy !Its simple really we wont pay the wages or fees required to purchase a ready made striker fit to play in the championship so we are looking around for free's and kids with promise and that is very very hard task to complete!but you have to try to keep the fans on your side so hence the waffle from speakman!
 
Anybody worth his salt would not of taken the job under the constraints Speakman and the young whippersnapper has in place . I feel sorry for him . When this boy fails and becomes another fall guy for Speakman , I would imagine the Speakman fan club will have had enough .

Who says he has said funds to simply spend and hike the wage structure? It's been pretty evident that he hasn't.

These are very few and far between. They are made and sold.

Thats the truth of it!they don't have the funds but they wont say that ,they waffle around it from sartori stating the funds are there to speakmans classic we made a good offer but we just couldn't get it over the line!

Well what exactly do you want them to say?

I don't think they've necessarily hid or lied about the fact. There is some money there, just not the kind of money required to throw caution to the wind and gamble on the club's future.

Listen to the pod mate itā€™s a good listen and it sounded like he had a very big back room team that he hired and fired at will he seemed pretty ruthless tbh.
 
its always the bloody same with some folk its not just a binary choice of bare bones funding or were ganning bankrupt cos we spent billions on players ..A happy medium would be nice! if we had took out a lone and bought a striker and a defender when stewart was injured we would be in the prem now!Businesses run on debt,take out a loan you know you can Pay back and target the playing team not the team 2-3 years down the line. If your business is not set up to take advantage of prevailing condition and opportunities that present themselves well then your doomed to failure!

Fair play. Iā€™ve seen it posted a load of times on here, but couldnā€™t remember him having said that. I did recall the ā€œwe donā€™t even need a strikerā€ and the Dajaku line but not that one.

There's a difference between hating someone and thinking someone is shit at their job, I suggest it's massively the latter.
Opinions are like arseholes as they say.
