When I worked in Boro (2005 - 2015), your fans wouldn’t even have went even if free tickets were in the go. Absolute ambivalence toward the local team from so many was my experience.

Admittedly our attendances did drop right off for a period of time following relegation from the Premier League. We were still averaging respectable crowds from 2005 until 2009, when we were relegated.
