Bellingham was signed within the budget already decided as that's why we didn't sign Michut.

Aouchiche and Pembele were specifically extra signings made with Lihadji and Gooch money.

Hjelde and mundle were very similar signings to Anderson and ekwah. Not significantly more spent.

His whole life revolves around coming in here to act like a **** and deliberately wind others up and to have a go at any supporter that doesn’t agree with him and kisses Speakmans and KLD’s backsides. Your description of him is spot on, a very strange bloke. One of the very worst on the board.

The good news is, the feeling is Mendy will now be on his way to us (which is what this thread is about after all).

What we don’t need is people coming on here with the sole intention of winding up other people and refusing to enter into any kind of debate, then just throwing around the infantile “clapper” abuse and posting entire posts of clapping emojis if any body dare suggest they could have got things wrong.

Mayenda is a prospect but he should be a third choice striker this season. He isn’t ready to be starting games. I will say though when he does play we need to start using his pace and exposing him 1vs1 against defenders.

Mayenda is Hemir’s understudy.

Hemir is our number one striker.

They aren’t really. He’s accepting that a transfer deal can be “close” but insisting that it can’t be “further forward”. How can a deal that is close not be further forward than one that isn’t?

Agree with the main point though. Even if a close deal must be further forward than one that isn’t close, or hasn’t even started being negotiated yet, the only thing that really matters is the distinction between a done deal and one that hasn’t been done. And this one hasn’t been done yet. It has that feature in common with every other deal that didn’t get done over the last 18 months. That’s certainly fair comment.

Mayenda looked good yesterday. Put a lot of work in which is what the managers pressing tactics is all about. If we only sign Mendy then I wouldn't be too disappointed. Rusyn caused problems for the centre backs as well with his movement.

I get why you’re saying, and the positivity is good, but our strikers have 3 goals between them in an entire season.

I can’t find the positives so easily on this one.

I'm not being positive just for the sake of not looking like a miserable bastard. I thought how we played yesterday is how we will approach games. With both Mayenda and Rusyn being grafters that can only positive for the managers tactics.
