PIF & Durham 100 Franchise

I totally agree and have been saying that for months, but I’m trying not to get upset over things that haven’t happened and may never happen.
I’ve got a feeling it’s not going to happen.

As I said previously, there was meant to be a ‘done deal’ in place for PIF to buy up Newcastle Falcons but that’s gone totally quiet ever since & Falcons are buying from a level below the bargain bin.

Also, if they can’t purchase a controlling stake then they’ll fuck it off.

But the can buy a controlling steak in the county that’s hosting the tournament that’s the worry, we’re not member ran so can’t even vote it down

Not happening, doesn’t make enough money.
So they “buy out” Durham now on the cheap, then get the 49% themselves bet it’s still a profit,

The BBL is Australia didn’t make a profit in its first few years, I bet a new tv deal still
Comes round in 2028 too

You’re assuming that any expansion franchise would be set up on the same basis as the existing franchises, by immediately handing 51% to the host club. Is there any evidence that would be the case? I would imagine a more likely scenario is that the ECB simply offers it in its entirety.

I'd be very disappointed if Durham got into bed with those clowns as you know exactly what would happen - it would become another vehicle of the "jawdee nashun" and we'd be told instaly we "divvent understaaaaand".

A hundred side should be about the region as a whole and not have any identity with any single football club.
If Northumberland had county status do you think any Mags would support Durham CCC ?
I doubt any would attend CLS!!
