As I said previously, there was meant to be a ‘done deal’ in place for PIF to buy up Newcastle Falcons but that’s gone totally quiet ever since & Falcons are buying from a level below the bargain bin.

Simon Hughes once stated that it was he who invented the 100 ball concept and pitched it to the ECB and they turned it down.
You’re assuming that any expansion franchise would be set up on the same basis as the existing franchises, by immediately handing 51% to the host club. Is there any evidence that would be the case? I would imagine a more likely scenario is that the ECB simply offers it in its entirety.
