What you’re doing is the equivalent of just stamping your feet and screaming until you get what you want.

I’ve asked a few people what they want the club to do if his club won’t let him go, and no one can give an answer beyond move on (sign someone not as good presumably) or pay the inflated fee.

If you have another idea feel free to share it.

It’s not a fact though. It’s very subjective and up for debate.

He’s turned a league one squad with very few assets into one that got promoted and now had assets worth tens of millions.

He’s definitely blotted his copybook on the striker front but you’re unwilling to apply any balance at all.

It’s not as simple as the alternative not being as good, they might be better but not necessarily as good value because of fee and wage. If Mendy isn’t coming we do move on but not necessarily to a worse option.

Looks like that may be the case with Ugbo. Debatable who is the better option really, his upsides are his age and he has played in the league before.

Why is this one going to be any different?

We didn’t sign a striker in January but did the previous two. Not very good ones but Burstow, Rusyn, Hemir, Mayenda and Geldhart were signed in the previous two windows.

That’s what the happy clappers line is. We paid over the odds for Grigg and and Rodwell so we shouldn’t take a calculated risk on anyone moving forward. It’s not completely black and white (pardon the pun).

The new HC obviously wants the lad given He must have a good knowledge of him.

Given how desperate we are If we don’t pay a little over the odds we won’t get a striker or we will have to before the window closes.

Its absolutely gross mismanagement and some of our support need to open their eyes at how badly the club is being run instead of having a go at other supporters.

Paying 5m for a 30 year old who has never played in England isn’t a calculated risk.
