The Hundred 2024

How far in are these boundaries ffs. Looks ridiculous when the rope has about 10 yards of grass behind it.

It’s only in at one side the other is right on the advertising boards, is it not as far in as the wicket is over from the middle of the square

There’s no fucker there at Lord’s today.
Still more for most England's Woman internationals though.

Attendances almost double than all counties t20 games this season.

Lovely to see children attending and the future keeping the game alive for next 50 years.

I know I know all you over 50s just want 4 day countyg games in front of 300 members.

But at least the hundred will keep the game alive long after your all gone and buried.

Hurrah the 100 looking to the future and bless gives all you retired grey haired people something to moan about and damn the game will die sod the future of the game only matters in my lifetime. Hundred will be massive long after the worms have eaten you. Oh don't forget your flask and homemade cheese sandwiches for the next county game and be aware might be 301 attendance for that one. Better queue up at 930 to get your seat for that excitement.

It's for kids, I get it, fair enough (although so is T20) But any adult who doesn't have kids and attends needs their hard drive checking tbh. I'm 31 by the way

Never been more grateful for my colostomy bag.
As a piece of satire the post would be fairly amusing but given the semi-literate presentation I doubt that the poster is familiar with the concept of satire. I'm 81 by the way and prefer Ovaltine in my flask.

Pretty impressive mate going strong on here at 81, with sharpe arguments and debates, hope I am still going as strong when I reach that age. That serious by the way.

You can also love both, I have had some great days sat quietly with 300 others watching 4 day cricket with my flask and cheese sarnies, and I’ve had equally great days with lads 8 pints deep at a t20, and equally great days with my family at the hundred…

it’s the mindset you can’t enjoy it all that irks me, people blame this on the death of the CC and the 50 over comp, I’m sorry but our invention of t20 in the 2000 started its death, the hundred might be only thing that actually keeps that going a bit longer

I’m 41

Quite frankly that is ridiculous statement, any adult has the right to enjoy whatever they want, it’s just 20 balls different to T20.

It’s make absolutely sense if somebody enjoys T20 which loads of adults obviously do because leagues have grown ten fold last 10 years they would enjoy this, especially as it’s the best players taken from the blast

Absolutely I enjoy all forms of cricket and have done for years and I am 52.

You don’t have to hate one and love the other you can simply enjoy all cricket.

It’s not a crime!!
I grow up watching Chris Tavare playing test cricket during the day then went on a night to watch my club side play 20 over cup tie which I preferred.

Suppose that means I am not a ‘ proper’ cricket follower!!

The colostomy brigade get harshly and unfairly criticised for their aversion to the short game but it's the blaring music and flashing lights that accompanies every event that they find objectionable Most have socialised on summer Friday evenings with a few pints enjoying limited overs cup ties at the their local club.
I do think that the 50 over game still has a future providing a link between T20 and the 4 day game. Particularly at present as a development competition providing a gentler introduction and transition from junior to senior cricket. There is a massive gap nowadays between 1st class and 2nd XI cricket.

See the lighthouse will be taking on his Durham teammates tonight.

Shan't be watching but see he's done well. Wonder if they will play him better than other sides do.
