3 last ball games in 2 days? .....Aye shiteWhat a pile of shite this tournament is and this year’s version in particular.
People have made up their mind a long time ago that’s it’s shite mate, before actually watching the games,3 last ball games in 2 days? .....Aye shite
Been saying that for years, I could stumble across a village game while on holiday in this country and end up enjoying it even if I don’t know who playinga good game of cricket is a good game of cricket no matter what the format, ive watched exicting games of Under 11's, the quality may be not be great but its still entertaining
It's the concept that we can compete with India in attracting world class stars that's shite and why genuine cricket lovers are vehemently against it. The bias commentary which portrays every action as superb when it's mainly mundane naturally and justifiably raises heckles. There's not much difference if any in standard between the 2 competitions so it's perfectly reasonable to claim the Hundred is shite given the vast differences in salaries awarded between the 2 comp - is it not reasonable to expect a much higher standard given this salary differential?People have made up their mind a long time ago that’s it’s shite mate, before actually watching the games,
Mondays night’s game great watch,
There has been some bad games mind, but that happens in all formats at all levels that’s just cricket bad and good games.
Some of the comments are correct like in should be a 20 over competition, 100 balls had just confused things, why change a winning formula which was T20, big mistake imo, and the quality overseas players have not arrived as promised, think that cant be disputed and has been disappointing,
However some comments like the blast is better quality is just total nonsense, you have 18 counties and the hundred picking the best of them players for 8 teams!
Of course the hundred will have better quality it’s just basic maths.
It’s logical to say picking the best players out of 18 and putting them into 8 teams means a better standard. It's the concept that we can compete with India in attracting world class stars that's shite and why genuine cricket lovers are vehemently against it. Can't understand why cricket lovers who are aware of the financial waste involved in promoting the Hundred can enjoy these games with an easy conscience.
Very selfish in my view.
I can assure you that I am not lacking in common sense -rather arrogant for you to claim so.It’s logical to say picking the best players out of 18 and putting them into 8 teams means a better standard.
Just common sense really.
The posts I have read saying the blast is a better standard have not mentioned the difference in salaries just said it is better standard which makes no logical sense whatsoever.
Like I said on the post you quoted there is good and bad things about the hundred, I accept that and recognize it.
First of all I am simply saying picking the best players from 18 teams and putting them into 8 means better standard that is just common sense whatever spin you put on it.I can assure you that I am not lacking in common sense -rather arrogant for you to claim so.
As usual you don't address the arguments that I make. The Hundred is promoted as a tournament comprising players of world class standard. The T20 is a domestic competition. It's reasonable to assume judgement of standards would be at a much higher level, that the Hundred would be at world class level. It falls well below that so it's justifiably described shite. Generally T20 delivers at the standard expected I e. It's not shite. As to putting 18 teams into 8 teams logically means a better standard assumes the selection process selects the best players and players familiarity with each other i.e. team spirit counts for nothing. A team is much more than the individual parts.
Are you seriously defending the Hundred as a world class tournament? Answer these question directly
What does the Hundred in its present form offer that domestic T20 doesn't ?
Why do you support and defend a tournament which offers nothing new but haemorrhage s money?
Why are you so insulting to those who oppose the Hundred?
Don't know name but assumed it would be one of our newly signed women players.Who’s the woman on comms?
Assuming you are meaning the English one… When I had it on Katherine Brunt was in the pod, so it will be her. If you meant the other one it’s Natalie Germanos.Who’s the woman on comms?
Aye English one, wasn’t great. Reckons the Rockets were “really brave” bowling Root ffsAssuming you are meaning the English one… When I had it on Katherine Brunt was in the pod, so it will be her. If you meant the other one it’s Natalie Germanos.

England’s top players rarely play in the blast, this is a chance for people to see England top players, the “Top players” don’t all have to be overseas, but you’d still complain if they upped the salaries to get the big overseas names inAgain ignoring my arguments.I'll use a football comparison to counter our " common sense" argument. Many football teams Hoover up what up what they consider the best players in the league but it doesn't make them best team. A mixture of money grabbers with nothing in common other than avarice won't necessarily gel as a team whereas a group who have grown as a team, become friends can produce a higher level of performance than a band of individual mercenaries. That's wholly logical.
I've heard your designated window argument ad nausea not convinced a saturated fixture list optimises support as opposed to a fixed day or night over a longer period.
You still ignore the questions
why do you support a tournament which heamorrhages money yet offers nothing more than T20 offers?
Can you not accept that the aversion to this tournament by genuine cricket lovers is because of the risk it poses of bankrupting cricket.
