Blinded by the Kits ?

Dont disagree with that BUT with a limited budget shouldnt you prioritise strikers over building up wingers and paying over £1m for Hjelde?

To think any improvement in merch is a ‘stunt’ or distraction technique is fecking mental tbh. 😂

It's not the kit that is the stunt. It's the timings of when the kits are being released which is a stunt.

Home Kit: Week immediately after a manager signed which people weren't particularly happy with.

Away Kit: Week immediately after a defeat to Gateshead where people were moaning about the state of the squad.

It's the exactly the same with announcing basic maintenance on the stadium a week before the season tickets.

None of this is accidental it's intentional.

Watch the date of the third kit as no doubt it'll be around the transfer window closing date or after a defeat by Cardiff if that happens.

Speakman has a cosy little number going here and he knows it. Him and Dodds will dine out on discovering the Bellingham’s forevermore.
The fact we still have not addressed the striker issue is nothing short of criminal and is without doubt a sackable offence or would be in any other business where the SD doesn’t have his feet so firmly until the table.
He's living off the good work he did early on. I'll gladly admit the fact our squad is worth well over £100m. But I can't defend the stupidity and arrogance of not signing a cf. A decent cf will improve us and those around him so much. But Speakman wouldn't say we're desperate for one.

He comes across as arrogant and stubborn, the more the fans say they want one the more he’ll go against it

 Give the dates / schedule that you think the kits should have been released under and then I'll look for vague event correlations.

I might seem unhinged, but I'll give it a go.

I think you’ve got to factor in just how many players weren’t involved tonight from the first team mind.
Of those that started i’d only expect to see Ba, Rigg, Aouchiche and Mundle involved regularly this season. It was Ba’s first game back from injury, Rigg has already shown he’s good enough, and Mundle had a really good game. The rest will likely be 3rd/4th choice when everyone is fit and the window is shut, if they are even still at the club.
Hemir, Rusyn or are we not playing with strikers again.

Also Ba and Hejlde will likely get minutes as well.

The release dates that were first mentioned 2 months ago you mean?

Why are people shitting themselves over friendlies man? It's barely a kick about with a mixture of senior and youth players.
I'm only going to get mildly pissed off when the transfer window shuts and we still haven't signed a striker.

Until then though... enjoy the kits, they're beauties.

Or they've actually listened to some of the things people were constantly going on about. Read the minutes from the RAWA meetings and you'll see the ground needing a refurb was a constant issue raised.

Its abundantly clear that there are issues around recruitment, and yes, they've cocked up massively with the striker situation, but people cant wait to throw shite at them for being underhand and sly, when they are actually addressing other issues that needed addressing so its damned if they do, damned if they don't.

If we'd signed 3 strikers for £5million plus, there'd still be people whining on here about PA systems and pigeon shite.

Should we have sorted the striker situation by now. Yes, 100%. Are they right to keep working on other things that the supporters have whinged about at the same time? Yes, 100%
Fook all wrong with the pitch the floodlights and i wasnt particulary bothered about the sound system. An operational club shop should be the absolute minimal requirement as should maintaining a F@@kin football stadium to have running water and a water tight roof. They make it out as if they are doing 40000 crowds a favour. They spend next to nowt on players always on the cheap. These are so far out tha depth it is scary. Having the best stadium in league 1 is not something that would fill me with pride. This manager and our better players are being hung out to dry by an arrogant tosser and a piss poor owner.

We took 16 pts from our last 20 games (only bottom of the league Rotherham were worse) and we haven't improved the team, that's why.

Thread after thread all repeating the same complaints ad nauseum with 20/20 foresight of how our season will unfold if we don't do something. Totally reminiscent of kids in the back seat on a long road trip
Don't worry kids, I'll get the pink slices out in a minute

Hemir didn’t start and will likely leave on loan.
Rusyn will likely be 3rd choice when Mendy comes in.
Ba is more than capable of performing at this level and was in his defence making his first appearance after an injury.
Hjelde is probably 3rd choice for left back and LCB.

As i’ve also said, it’s just not the same situation throwing a group of squad players together for a game and bringing the odd squad player into the first team.

Still got the rumoured third kit to conveniently release aswell. No doubt be around the end of the transfer window to try and divert attention from that.
Snake oil salesman down the decades will no doubt be pleased with the design of it, the team on the field is shit, but oh look a brand new kit with all the nostalgia attached to it, oh, and look it's just like the one's blokes in their 40s today, had in the 1990s when they were kids.
