The Hundred 2024

There's little concrete evidence yet of these investors and the potential investors will only only do so if they have a majority controlling stake and make a profit i.e.take out more than they put in.They then dictate wholly how the game is run.Is that a worthwhile risk?
Guess time will tell

Right long term investment? These people aren't cricket benefactors, they're in it for profit i.e.Take more out than they put in.Do you not accept that?
Well I think anyone investing in anything wants a return for an investment.

Unfortunately you very rarely in this world get people giving money away for nothing.

However it is possible for both profit to be made and it to benefit the wider game for longer, especially if the money made is big enough.

The concern which I share is how and how fairly it will be distributed

And English cricket loses control of its own game and is reliant on hand outs from the investors. Have you not read that the money men aren't interested unless they have majority control.
English cricket is currently self financing? Why sell it off?

Listened to Paul Farbrace coach of Sussex the other week on a podcast I was listening too.

He was saying he actually thinks the hundred can be a good thing bring the investment in and that money will help the infrastructure of all concerned including the counties,

From someone in the game that was good to here and sincerely hope he right
I hear a lot of people connected to the ECB say how awesome the 16.4 is and how it's going to save the sport. The propaganda around the 16.4 really has been relentless.

The reality so far is that the 16.4 product is sub par and has taken the sport from a healthy financial position to the verge of bankruptcy.

I'm sure you will believe what the people with a vested interest in the 16.4 are telling you, and not what is actually happening right in front of you.
