I cannot get away with it at all. Everything I know about cricket revolves around run rates and stats which are based on overs. I look at the scores and I have to do mental arithmatic to decide whether the score is decent or not.

Yeah must admit, I find myself looking at the balls required working out what that is in overs and then what run rate required when teams are chasing as been used to that all my life, would much prefer this competition to be a 20 over competition as could relate to that better.
Still very much enjoying the actual cricket though, but wish they would make that change, which eventually I think they will to tie into all other short format competitions

General characteristic of most Caribbean cricketers which was why they were so popular as club professionals.Additionally also being able to bowl extremely fast.

Aye cricket hasn’t changed that much, fans like seeing big shots and fast bowling, always have.
When the above Caribbean cricketers were club pros and came to club grounds, on them 20 over cup nights crowds were bigger, and that was because they enjoyed watching big shots and boundaries
It’s nothing new in the slightest or less of a cricket follower to enjoy cricketers hitting boundaries

Nothing new about short form cricket either except that it was played with a red ball without fielding restrictions making it a more even contest between bat and ball. Get a surplus of boundaries though and they'll start to lose rheir appeal.

Yeah it’s all about balance mate, I do agree up to a point you don’t want to over do one.
I am in a similar position with football, years ago would never miss a live game and FA cup final was unmissable for me as a kid.
Now far too much football on the telly that it loses some of its appeal.

Listened to Paul Farbrace coach of Sussex the other week on a podcast I was listening too.
He was saying he actually thinks the hundred can be a good thing bring the investment in and that money will help the infrastructure of all concerned including the counties,
From someone in the game that was good to here and sincerely hope he right
There's little concrete evidence yet of these investors and the potential investors will only only do so if they have a majority controlling stake and make a profit i.e.take out more than they put in.They then dictate wholly how the game is run.Is that a worthwhile risk?
