The Hundred 2024

Ahh yes the equivalent today to that child of the same age you were able to watch Cricket midweek and Sunday afternoons within 3 hours.

Why the 100 grounds are full and gaining loads.of new interest.

Get back to the cc with ya flask and ham sandwiches packed lunch. Life moves on. Don't despair don't feel angry that youngsters today prefer this and love it.

It will keep the game going for another hundred years long after we have left this earth so don't fear it, think of the future who love it and can enjoy cricket 100 years after we have departed the earth.
Why do you keep posting on here?

You clearly don't like Durham, county cricket or black English cricketers.

So not sure why you bother posting on here.

Really like for like. No doubt Pennington will be needed for key 12th man duties on Sunday so Jones will still miss a game for us.

Why can't they play Roy or Ingram from their squad instead?

Just like last year they had Muyeye that could have played but they stole Clark from us and genuinely fucked up our tournament.
Roy is in America. Not sure on Ingram.

There's been zero announcement from Durham or the Leeds team on his signing or how long he's with them for, so it's anyone's guess.

Knowing our luck we will lose him for the next month as he carries the drinks in the hundred.

The "chaos" came in the form of an availability crisis which meant the Superchargers were always up against it. (shoulder) and (finger) were injured, was at Major League Cricket, and were with England at Edgbaston. So too, less expectedly, was , who was retained in the Test squad as cover (in case of a concussion) after West Indies won the toss in the third Test and bowled first.

Pennington's absence meant a last-minute scramble for a short-term replacement, with being called up on the morning of the game while training with Durham. As Jones headed down the A1(M) to Leeds, Potts found himself stuck in traffic on the M1 on his way up from Birmingham.

Interesting to read that they were short of bowling yet the last minute replacement for bowler Pennington was Jones who is a batsman. Surely they could’ve plucked another bowler from somewhere. Bizarre.

would scrap it and franchise the t20 with the county teams put the money into that.
Make it two divisions of 9 as well, it would be a complete outlier.

Well they already had Pat Brown as a replacement for one of the England players. Bizarre that he didn't play.

Really just makes the whole thing a mockery. They called up Clark last year when they already had Muyeye in their squad available.

Doesn't matter how much of a c*ck up he makes of it he'll still be nailed on to be England ODI head coach. It's a Key appointment🙄

Pheonix and Superchargers both look like they’re in for a tough year. Pheonix have historically been a good team, but they look flat.

Could be Welsh Fire’s year imo. Them and the Rockets for the final
