I think it’s a good signing for us. We’ve been crying out for players who have experience at this level and he fits the bill. Still young enough to improve. Get some of our youngsters out on loan for game time and he will give genuine competition to all our wingers bar Clarke, assuming he stays.

Seems to me we’re going back to what we seen earlier with the “model” that gave us success in getting promoted from league one.

Signing players with more Championship experience, that will increase in value. I’ve not seen much of this lad, but like the Brown signing it appears a sensible addition with low risk / high upturn if he stays fit.

More of the same, especially centre forwards and I’ll be reasonably happy.

He is a weird signing, but gotta give him the benefit, his pedigree like most of our targets is great. Barca and City amongst others.
I don’t think it’s a weird signing at all me. Assuming he’s a player who starts on the bench and comes on, he’s ideal cover for the wings, surely better than Ba on the wing and was free and is young enough for a resale value.

From my Leeds SC mate:

Sorry, never did it for me. Plays on the right and cuts in on his left foot. Bielsa got him for 100k from Man City's youth team and never really played him. Since then he's been loaned out here there and everywhere, think he was at Wednesday last season. He tends to start well, people admire his skill but he's limited.

(don't shoot the messenger)
Sounds exactly like Patrick Roberts

He's a curious one.
Also from my mate:

'He played one good game for us against City oddly enough when he destroyed Mendy and Pep had to take him off but then completely disappeared'.

'He'll start on the bench for sure and as a sub he had his moments but Hjelde and Poveda were the first two Farke binned and I don't think he was incorrect in doing so......'

You never know, he might just need a re-set and to feel wanted so to speak. We seem to like signing lost souls.
