Jack Clarke To West Ham/Burnley/Lazio/ latest Ipswich...

If Clarke was desperate to go then maybe we'd feel more compelled to sell- but he wasn't fussed about Burnley last year, and I can't see what has changed really.
If he goes to a promoted club, 9 times out of 10 they will come straight back down- and you end up being stuck at a club who don't need to sell you because they have parachute money, and will have insisted on a relegation wage drop in the contract (unless they are cretins). You will just end up trapped at a club, on championship wages.

He will know he is better off waiting it out until a better team make a decent offer for him and then he can go (Lazio might come back in, or West Ham)- waiting until the end if the window/January will serve him better- when other players have moved, top targets have been missed and mid table PL clubs start thinking about him as they move down their lists.
It’s a contract between clubs. Not player to club.
Yes, but I always assumed that the buying club would want to insert that clause.
Mainly so you don't end up having to pay out money if a player stays long terms.

Ipswich offered £18m for Philogene. Clarke is a better player and we aren't as desperate for cash as Hull were. Both had 2 yrs left on contract. We have a better bargaining position for a superior player ... offer needs to be higher than that.

They paid 15m plus add ons for Liam Delap
12 goals in 70 games in the Championship
Clarke has much better figures than that
18m and broadhead
Rumours coming out of Suffolk is that he’s done his hammy again

Aye just been reading up about Broadhead. Looks like he is facing a long stint on the sidelines
