It’s a journalist that either can’t do maths or thinks we paid £11m for him 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

£18m split 60-40 would leave us with £10.8m.

It’s still a decent profit at the £750k-2m bracket we supposedly bought him at. Hopefully the sell on is closer to 20-25%. If he does go I’d be more annoyed that a team who were in L1 15 months ago are taking our best player. I’d have expected him to get a better move than that.

Suppose the idea is he performs well in PL and someone else buys him next summer. I’d certainly be asking for a relegation clause with a set fee if I was him.

Agree with that mate.... Just think if I'm his agent I'm at least trying to get him into a West Ham or a Fulham, rather than one of the three that's gone up.

Its not so much that it's the fact that because he didn't have a very good game against them then a few numpties on here think he can't hack it in the premier league.

I've watched league 2 players torture premier league players in the cup over the years in a 1 off game it doesn't make them world beaters

And thats what he will get week on week in the prem, wingers and fullbacks working much harder in defence and being much faster than a lot of the championship plodders. The leap in quality between the leagues is massive.

I’m not sure he’d ever make it in the prem but theres no shame in being one of the top performers in the championship but not quite having enough for the prem

He'd also get better players around him who will help him though. Hamer has took the step up very well from Coventry to Sheffield utd. He was a stand out player for them
