Durham v Lancashire (a) one day cup.

Opening fixture of the one day cup at Sedbergh School on Wednesday. Not sure how this competition will go for Durham probably depends on the early matches and if they get off to a good start.
As ever the team looks like it will have plenty of all rounders which in theory probably gives us a strong looking batting line up. Bowling definitely looks a bit thin with Borthwick and Ackerman looking like the spin options at least in the early matches. The seam bowling looks like it will be based around Raine and Coggers.
Not to sure what the line up will be but i think they will keep Jones in the "finisher" position especially if they want to give Mckinney a go at top of the order.
Where Borthwick bats i haven't got a clue.
At a guess i will go for this Xl
Lees
Mckinney
De leede
Ackerman
Bushnell
Jones
Borthwick
Coughlin
Mustard
Raine
Hogg/Mcallindon/Gibson.

Well thats my contribution to the one day cup. Hopefully do well and back for the championship run in.

Don't think that lineup will be too far away (think I would go for Gibson as the last chiice). Me and youngest son have got tickets to go and watch it so fingers crossed for decent weather and performance 🤞

Is parky off to the bullsh16.4?

I'd think borthwick up at 3 and let the hitters come in later but that may depend on the balance match by match

i'd like to see McKinney and Bushnell get an extended run in the top 4 or 5 for this competition. I get we want to go hard at winning it but we need to give them a chance to show what they are made of. De Leede at 3 teaches us very little, and Ackerman can slot in anywhere in the top 6 to be fair.

Drissell is normally the main spinner for 2s but he’s injured. After that 18 year olds Hughes-Pinan and Scorer as far as I know are the only others playing half regularly.

They've not posted the squad for tomorrow that I can see?

Lees is captain so why would he miss out. Ditto Ackermann
