Forthcoming gigs.

After a cracking all-dayer on Saturday in a barn in Easington Colliery, been looking ahead at bookings for the rest of the year:

Jordan Rakei/Northern Sinfonia (Glasshouse)
My Darling Clementine (Cumberland)
Northern Kin
Thomas Dolby (City Hall)
Lemon Twigs (Grove)
Pictish Trail (Engine Room)
John Grant (Fire Station)
Public Service Broadcasting (Glasshouse)
King Creosote (Fire Station)
Jason Isbell (Globe)
Unthanks (Glasshouse)
Robert & Toyah (Fire Station)

Will probably add the Undertones as they seem to have dropped off the bill at Northern Kin and I'd like to see Ruts DC as well. Nick Lowe would be an absolute must but looks like I'm away for a mate's 70th. Few more to add once I've sorted dates out around a few other trips away, including one of Martin Stephenson's xmas shows
Rest of the year?? Ill have seen more than that in the next fortnight

Edit: forgot about northern kin. You win this time gadget 😂

Monument
Northern Kin
Alabama 3
Fontaines DC
Brògreal
Ian Prowse
Amyl & the Sniffers
Ian Prowse (again)
Futureheads

I’ve got a load of potentials too. Bellowhead, Skinny Lister, Dreadzone…

Not a bad little line up that.

Prowsey's Midsummer shows at Liverpool Philharmonic a week on Friday and Saturday up next for me.

What's the best site for finding out what's on in Liverpool (mid-September). Been looking at a few but some haven't even got Ryan Adams on who I know is playing on the Saturday. Having a Beatlesy few days with some old colleagues from Bangkok.
Are you going to daintees & smoove and turrell this weekend?

Oh, is this in Washy? A chum was telling me about that at Summer Streets. Maybe .......

Sorry I have no idea about a website for Liverpool gig information. I find out about most gigs through announcements on Twatter or by email.

Yeah, Leeds was really good too, both bands were ace. The Millennium Square is a very good venue as it gently slopes so works well for crowds and visibility, and the facilities and organisation were excellent too IMO. Easy to park in nearby multistorey also. Would go there again definitely.
Same with Castlefield Bowl

Looks like a Roman Amphitheatre

Right in the city centre

loads of bars and restaurants

Great Sound

For anyone interested this might be canny - albeit an unusual venue

Is anyone going to the Ibiza event in the Fire Station yard Aug 4th?
Just wondering if any free tickets are floating about as it’s a gamble on the weather at the price they are?
I know I’m being a scratter, so no need to point it out 😂

Have they got the seats in downstairs at the City Hall for Paul Heaton?

It's been moved to the Arena, which doesn't seem like a good thing at all for anyone, other than those who couldn't get tickets for NCH.

That looks like fun, apart from camping in November. Some great turns on/

Yes, I saw that. Extra dates going on sale today including a gig at Co-op Live. Thankfully, I decided to go for the Wolverhampton gig as I wouldn’t have been happy with the Newcastle venue change.
