Anderson finished?

I'm on the fence about it. Can see both arguments, except they then shatter it with the inclusion of woakes. Andersons wicketlessness with the new ball lately will have gone against him. Equally they could feel as anderson is older he could just retire at any point and be left a bit inexperienced. So I can see the argument to try and bed in, improve younger bowlers the same way Jimmy was afforded that at the beginning of his career.
I do think he should have had more of a say in when he retired. If they didn't want to pick him then they should just be men enough to make the call. Not force him to retire so they look better

Might as well play him in the next test as well..get past Warne.

not like any young bowler's going to learn too much about test cricket bowling against this lot.

Might be the only thing worth people turning up to watch at this rate.

Only criticism of Anderson for me is he has never developed his batting. In this day and age there are very few no.11 but Anderson still remains one to which I dare suggest if he offered a bit more with the bat, he may have been able play in the bazball era a bit longer

Get the point, but there are still a few. Bumrah averages less, and Hazelwood and Lyon not much more.

Ngidi averages sub 5

I'd actually sack McCullum.

Seen nothing to suggest he is the answer to our test side, and despite not being Andersons biggest fan his treatment has been shocking

Criminal that they’ve forced the great man to retire at Lords. Surely he’s earned the right to choose which ground he retires at. Key and Co should be ashamed.
