Friday nights T20

I’m after some info here chaps. I’m back up for the weekend for the big meeting and have seen Durham have a T20 game on the Friday night. As me and the missus are staying at Lumley Castle for a couple of nights, then it gives me a perfect opportunity to go and see it. I can see there are tickets left which say unreserved seating which is fine, but I have one issue with our lass having to use a crutch at the minute and finding stairs difficult to go up, is there any area which is a bit more acccesible than others that might suit us? I could do without her having to traipse up the top of a stand.

As this will be first time I have managed to get back for one of these then any info in general will be appreciated.

The seats in the Don Robson pavilion would be mainly accessible I think. When you come in, you are at the front of the Sticky Wicket pub. Head left. The blocks in front of the scoreboard go down from ground level so she shouldn’t have far to go. Blocks 22-28

You can also park opposite the ground but it’s a bit of a wait getting out afterwards

You should book match tickets and parking in advance as it’s cheaper.

If she is OK walking a little further on flat ground than the good suggestion above, you could walk round to the gap between sections 4 and 5 on here…..

…..I think the only steps you would encounter would be the actual steps of the seating itself. If you were to sit in the front row of the South Terrace I don’t recall that you would have to use any steps at all.

Cheers. If we walk sensibly she is fine. It’s stairs which are the issue, so hence don’t want to end up high in a stand.
 
unless you want to actually sit up in the gods all of the stands are pretty accessible if you can manage a few steps, county durham stand you can access the bottom tier from ground level and just go up as many steps as you can, Don robson stand i think theres about 10 steps to get you onto the walkway but youd have walk down steps then also to find a seat, that would be to the right of the sticky wicket
