Sunderland music thread

Bit of both. Nowt worse than a shit cover of something, but everyone has to start somewhere. That said, lots of new stuff can be hard work after a while. You need to properly listen but also have the right crowd who’ll pay attention.

Ian Prowse does a Monday Club in the Cavern in Liverpool & has a strict no covers policy.
I imagine it would difficult to find enough people with enough songs to fill 2 hours even once a month.

If you’re on about the Ian Prowse one, I believe it’s a bit of a respected night.

Hes not well known himself, but has released about 10 records. Decent social media following, so is probably a pull himself.

Summer streets both days for me. I saw Martha and Field Music at The End Of The Road festival a few years ago. Seeing them at the end of my road will be like a sandwich with Dead Wet Things as the filling. Yumm

Seen Celtic Man last weekend so those two shows out for me. Anyone thinking of seeing them in Cleo's, get there early..

Human League, Heaven 17, Altered Images and Peter Hook at Herrington Country Park tonight.

One for the oldies I suppose. It’s not had much promotion, will be interesting to see how big the crowd is with things on like Rick Astley elsewhere and Kubix at the weekend.
