The Chain - Fleetwood Mac

Not to derail the thread, but I’m becoming increasingly convinced there needs to be some kind of gig insurance scheme - it’s such a massive outlay to buy trains and hotels, often an year in advance, only for the act to get ill/injured. Loads of people out of pocket after that and the Pearl Jam fiascos. It’s becoming a bit of a gamble to buy tickets.
There is gig insurance now when you buy tickets. I normally get it although no idea what it covers 🤦‍♀️

I think it's just the tickets, and I think it's really limited circumstances when you can't go.

It needs to be a whole "all travel/accommodation" thing when they cancel. It's starting to feel like a massive gamble booking things so far out. Right now I have a lot of money I can't get back invested in Stevie Nicks' leg getting better.

Is that at Hyde park? I heard she’d cancelled Manchester.

Outstanding song that holds many memories for me. Certainly one of the greatest albums of all time.

Bookings.com does refundable until very close to the day on many properties. It will be a little more but that is to be expected. It is a major issue. I cannot remember gigs being cancelled back in the day.

Best album ever, for me. Flawless.

Obviously people always remember the bass riff, but the guitar solo is stupidly good. Absolutely frig all to it, but it's everything it needs to be and more. The first however many bars of it are just one note, and then varies it up a little by simply going up an octave and braying the same note up there for a bit.

Genius.

If you get an opportunity go and see Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. Saw them last year and again just recently. Absolutely superb and well worth going to see.

Must be one of those tribute acts where the members change as when I saw recently there looked to some different ones to that vid ?
Certainly "Buckingham and Nicks" seemed different

This vid shows exactly what I'm on about regarding the guitar solo.

I know people love Peter Green, but he's a great guitarist Lindsay Buckingham.

Not sure why the lasses are singing "chains keep us together" mind. Surely it's "chain keep us together."
