Craft Beer

Went to Hideaway Brewery in Salford on Saturday and had a couple of terrible beers. Ever been, @James ?

Managed to have a better pint at Marble round the corner, though they were only meant to be serving people on their brewery tour so couldn’t stay long.

I've not. Their logo is enough to put doubts in my mind! I've only ever bothered to drag myself to Salford once actually and that was the quays. Seven Bro7hers are shite aren't they.

Went to Buxton the other week. Nice little town that for a few beers. Buxton taproom, Redwillow have a pub, Titanic as well. Direct train back to Levenshulme.

They really are underwhelming, and yet their bars always seem to be so busy. I find Media City a bit soulless really.

Buxton is cracking, we tend to stay at that old fashioned hotel opposite the taproom.

Santa Eulalia in Ibiza 4 weeks today. Just been on the facebook pages asking about craft beer. Got a couple of bars to try. Apparently two big supermarkets near the hotel too, so I’m hoping there’s a selection of new beers to have a bash at.

I don’t think hideaway will last too much longer to be honest.

I’ve popped in a few times as on my walk back from work and it’s always just me and the owner in there, even on a Friday night. Think they had to cancel a comedy event as only sold 2 tickets. He’s going to start doing bbq food but just can’t see it being successful

The beers aren’t anything special like so people aren’t going to come a bit further to go back

Having an enforced beer break unfortunately. Any good recommendations for 0.0 gear? I’ve been mightily impressed with the Guinness offering.

Cloudwater's Fresh AF is the best pale I've had.

Erdinger is good.

The best I've ever had was Mikkeller's Limbo Riesling. It's a Flemish ale. Very very good. Not sure they make it anymore but you can find the odd can here and there. HOTM in York had it in a month or so ago.

Guinness is about the only readily available one I can drink more than a couple of.

Most of the supermarket AF pales and IPA's aren't the best, ok for the odd one. Holy Faith, Athletic, Erdinger and Big Drop are better than Brewdog. I've actually realised I quite like the AF Kopparberg strawberry and lime as well.
 
Drinking a few random cans today camping. 330ml tiny rebel IPAs I got given for my birthday. Found a Hazy Shade of Strata that I drank yesterday. Lovely. Prefer it to Citra I think.

One I bought down here. Acquired taste a ginger stout like, but this is canny.

Had bit of a disappointment with Black Iris "Demon Cleaner" at the Station House on Saturday...only ...meh.
"Pay your Dues" Wenslydale Brewery was quite interesting.....though not my usual type of thing......so had to finish off with a few Almasty "Believe".....shame it's 6% though...not good for skin full..😅.
I will post photos if I ever work out how to it...🫣

I’m in Ibiza at the same time! I’ll look out for someone walking about with craft beer looking like he spent lastnight sleeping on the floor. Can’t be hard?
