Anthony Gordon

Does it hurt that we can buy an unknown kid for £7m and sell him for £33m within a year while people here pontificate about how much Clarke is worth and if you will ever see rhe majority of the cash invested it the team (SAFCs team I mean not Spurs)
Errr no not really tbh 🤣🤣 Why do you lot brag about rich Arab money when you all live in ghettos like Byker and Benwell

Honestly, I find it hilarious that the richest club in the world need to sell their prospects today or get a points deduction.

It shows me that football is fucked and we’re better off out of it for a year or two

Ah I did not realise SAFC had quit football, although now your recent years are beginning to make sense to me.

Doesn't the Championship have FFP too?
Aye every Geordie fool was dreaming of signing Dan Burn and Nick Pope.

Keep referencing “the cabal” you know, the one you want to be part of.
Both solid and important players for us.

We dreamt of players like Isak and Bruno....

It does and we operate well within it.

I sense you’re looking for a wind up but if you want a serious conversation about the state of football are you seriously happy that this last week you’ve tried to sell anything that wasn’t nailed down , including your star striker and player of the season, to meet FFP, after spending hundreds of millions and not even qualifying for Europe, much less win a trophy.
Putting parochial rivalries aside, can you not see that football is apparently fucked and you’re just as fucked as the rest. We’re one of three clubs in the championship currently working within the rules for player salaries as a percentage of revenue, so it seems we’re just waiting for things to go pop.

You don't know we werw trying to sell everything that moves unless you believe all football transfer speculation is accurate and if you believe that then you will believe anything.

What are the rules on salaries in the championship? and if hardly any clubs are working within them why are they not all getting punished? Or is that just cos things are "fucked"

Ok then…reportedly you’ve tried to sell Isak to Chelsea and were turned down by Liverpool for Gordon because they have undoubtedly better options in Diaz and Gakpo. The fact remains you had to net £40m this weekend, whatever the rumours. The rules in the championship are even more restrictive, as well they should be as all clubs spend well beyond their means. We all operate on a rolling three year basis and are punished if we don’t follow the rules.

Newcastle are now reduced to making breathing space by amortising transfer dealings to future seasons…effectively theyre mortgaging their future and they’re not the only ones
