Greek Island Holiday Help

We're planning on going to Lofaki tonight. I've just emailed them.

To be fair our hotel is on the hillside with a lovely view on the sea and Turkey anyway.
Okay then you may not see much more than you already are. We stayed at Kos Aktis Art hotel, which was to the right of the harbour as you look out, past the castle and opposite the police station. It really is on the waterside and all of the rooms have Seaview balconies which were lovely to watch the sun rise over Turkey. For us going up to Lofaki was spot on, and much better than watching the sunset from Zia. Is it still baking hot out there mate? Another restaurant we tried which I believe is quite new was Olivity. It’s a bit gourmet portion size but the Octopus Stifado was spot on. Enjoy the rest of your break.

It's 33 degrees today, been steadily rising 1C each day. We have a bit of a breeze so it's pleasant.

We haven't actually seen a sunrise or sunset yet because we've been down in harbour each night and our room hasn't much of a view. We did have a pool view to start with but it was miles from reception with very steep banks which is no good for me at all!

Happy to go to Lofaki for a change 🙂

We really enjoyed Lofaki apart from the wasps!

The table next to us had to retreat indoors as there was about half a dozen waps dive bombing them.

Us and the table one away ended up with an electric bat thing to swat and fry the little buggers!

😀😀 we saw similar when we were there. They buggered off when the sun set though. What did you think of the view? Pretty decent isn’t it.

That's one of the drawbacks with Greece I've found. Stay in a resort with say 10 restaurants and nine will have near enough the same menu, heavy with red meat too which I try to eat sparingly. The other one will be an Indian that also does Chinese (poorly).

Mrs (no) loves seafood but guide was like this is volcanic so all the tasty fish are way out.

We found two decent places id reccomend. Rest might as well have gone to newcastle

The seafood dishes I looked at in one restaurant were sea bass, sea bream and calamari. That was it. Had 'pistachio' ice cream which was just non-flavoured ice cream with a bit of light green colouring added. No taste to it all.
