How many Lorient fans are hanging around the North East on the off chance they’ll get a chance to voice their opinion should a (now) former coach rock up here in a new job and they happen to have local radio show to be able to do it? Is it mags pretending to be French? Or have we gained a load of French followers who are MLFs having gained interest after we signed ndong and sheesh.

I think to be honest mate they didn’t actually go out looking for a Sunderland based Lorient fan, but just googled to see who might do a fans podcast and got in touch, maybe by WhatsApp or something

I can see him now at his presser in a weeks time, pulling a used Metro ticket out of his chord jacket breast pocket, having walked from St Peter’s to the ground and presenting it proudly to the press. Only Nick Barnes in the sparsely populated press room will appreciate the gesture. Possibly KLD too. It will be our Christian Gross moment. And from here I only think it will go downhill.
