any evidence dodds and proctor are being kept in their current roles?
I mean the Brighton and Brentford owners were involved in building the data models they use (which have brought them success in previous endeavours) so I’d imagine have a bit of input into that. Is there any evidence of KLD knowing anything about any of this. Just saying he is young so can learn seems some leap to make.
Someone told me this morning that he doesn’t speak any English???
Also that he was being replaced at Lorient after relegating them and being unpopular with fans and the ownership. Don’t forget that. The only thing I'm convinced of is that he wasn't first choice. That's it. I know nothing else. Neither do you.
Let’s seeNot what I'm saying. It's the pile on to anyone who gives a bit of clarity on what happened last season, and gives a balanced argument against the view there was dressing room upheaval, or they didn't spend much, or they didn't do this or that.
He has to be fair, so we'll have to agree to disagree.
Let’s hope he comes good and they give him a complete competitive squad.I am.
1)He had a good season in a league that is stronger than the one we are competing in, in 22/23.
2) As a Frenchman and French speaker, He might be able to get more out of the French players that we have.
3) He has worked with with young players for several years before becoming head coach. Whilst senior football is very different, he might be more comfortable to manage/blood youngsters than other head coaches would be. We have a very young squad.
Shaping how a club is run is one thing. Every owner will do that. Picking managers yourself is quite anotherIt's a leap to think someone so young owning a football club doesn't have any real interest in shaping how it's ran.
There’s zero evidence. He has no knowledge or education…dropped out of Leeds Polytechnic, then dropped out of a college course. He has no credentials, just a bank accountI mean the Brighton and Brentford owners were involved in building the data models they use (which have brought them success in previous endeavours) so I’d imagine have a bit of input into that. He said “his English is said to be good” which is different. That’s not Phil Smith saying he speaks good EnglishHe speaks good English according to Phil Smith who must have been briefed from the club

Not what I heard like.I'm pretty ALL owners will have a say on who comes in.
Fuck me bit pedanticHe said “his English is said to be good” which is different. That’s not Phil Smith saying he speaks good English
Now, from a personal point of view, I just don't trust anything they may say now. They have lost my support after having to move seats to accommodate the scum and the BCB debacle. I even offered, via Email to the club, to repair the damage the scum caused f.o.c. Did they respond?, they could not be bothered to even respond. I did ask GG to bring this up at the RAWA meeting but there were other pressing issues at that time. Reluctantly, my lad renewed our familys season cards for this year but this is my last, whatever may come.. Some way to end over 55 years of solid support. You'd hope so as this is the only way a signing like this will work.
If he'd come in on his own and had to work with Dodds and Proctor he's set up to fail from the off.
Impossible to answer. Because it's come out of the blue. But I would cautiously say yes. Because It's the type of head coach I think we should have appointed before now ; Relatively young with a background in youth development. It fits our model. Whether you agree with the model or not is different. But with the direction that was promised....I'm surprised this type of appointment took such a long time coming. I hope it works. Haven't got a clue if it will. Quite an exciting gamble though. Also that he was being replaced at Lorient after relegating them and being unpopular with fans and the ownership. Don’t forget that.
I have no problem with the bloke and hope he’s an incredible success. I’m highlighting the gross incompetence of those who hired him, which raises question marks over his suitability.
Answer me this…at this point in time (let’s not get into hypotheses about what might happen) does this look like ‘progression’ from Mowbray? Simple yes or no.
Don’t want to tell us?End of the day all the negative people on here who never have anything positive to say are going to draw their own narrative on how and why he’s being appointed.
Now, I don’t claim to know everything, but I certainly do know at least a little bit more than the aforementioned doom posters, so just let them get on with it.
Get behind him, get behind the team and crack on.
