Regis le Bris - confirmed

With all due respect I am far more likely to believe the guy on #OnTheWhistle video than a fair old chunk of you lot. Not that I intend to make a habit of believing people.

What is patently obvious is that some fans are spoilt brats who want everything now. Life is more Chess than Space Invaders. Sometimes it is just not prudent to want everything now and to go at things full blast. A lot of fans persistently hope for an exciting, top of the range, all singing-all dancing, deluxe appointment. They have a pathological obsession with fast, attacking play dominating the possession. Like that’s ever been a prerequisite for success! I believe there are in the sport today hitherto previously unknown names who clubs have gambled on appointing that believe in a little something called patience. Waiting and biding time for the right moment to strike. I like this methodology better than going at it hammer and tongs kicking the living shit out of opposition teams from the get go. We might have to employ a more cautious approach from time to time because of the team we are up against. Build up the momentum, tempo and pace. Counter attack only when the time is right. RDB clearly is a coach who likes that style.

On an ancient battlefield the kind of strategy most Sunderland supporters like to employ would probably have had their army annihilated.

I for one am prepared to back him to the end.
Somebody write that for you mate? Excellent, well thought out and good see a fellow fan using his brain. All this raw emotion shit is tiresome and becoming very boring for the fans who actually want to see our club succeed.

Always when we’re shite
We Shout Ha’way the lads

Expressing concerns is absolutely fine, nobody has an issue with that.

It's the way some people "express concerns" - i.e. just attack everything the club does, throw accusations around, nothing ever good enough, people written off before they start etc etc.. it's daft.
People seem to find it easier to grumble from the start as then they are either proved right or pleasantly surprised. They see it as a win win situation.

In all honesty I'd never heard of a lot of young managers who seem to have done really well. This fella is no different, so I'm more than willing to hope he's a gem and gets the lads playing well.

I wrote TM off early as a 'dinosaur' and expecting turgid football, only to be proven 100% wrong, so I've learned on that and numerous other occasions that football is more nuanced and it's better to just wait and see.
His record is awful mind…

I agree this board is toxic Rosenior doesn’t think we are good enough yet everyone thought he wasn’t good enough even Kompany got relegated this year yet look at the job he’s got.
I don’t know anything about this bloke but until he gets things wrong he has my full backing

The default is to hate, that's how they roll!

Wow some have woke up in a bad mood this morning.

He's a thing, just make your own judgement based on your own eyes rather than second hand opinions or micro analysis of stats.
How can you make your mind up on someone without using opinions or stats?
You've got nothing else to go on.🤷‍♂️

Would make for a pretty crap message board if you can’t look at a new manager and comment on him. Or anything else before you have seen it.

Heckingbottom is a rank average Championship manager, same as Rosenior. I'd much rather us take a risk with a foreign manager who might have a higher ceiling if they adapt. Le Bris might not be that man but we can't keep appointing these Championship jobbers.
Like Neil and Mowbray you mean?
