Regis le Bris - confirmed

With all due respect I am far more likely to believe the guy on #OnTheWhistle video than a fair old chunk of you lot. Not that I intend to make a habit of believing people.

What is patently obvious is that some fans are spoilt brats who want everything now. Life is more Chess than Space Invaders. Sometimes it is just not prudent to want everything now and to go at things full blast. A lot of fans persistently hope for an exciting, top of the range, all singing-all dancing, deluxe appointment. They have a pathological obsession with fast, attacking play dominating the possession. Like that’s ever been a prerequisite for success! I believe there are in the sport today hitherto previously unknown names who clubs have gambled on appointing that believe in a little something called patience. Waiting and biding time for the right moment to strike. I like this methodology better than going at it hammer and tongs kicking the living shit out of opposition teams from the get go. We might have to employ a more cautious approach from time to time because of the team we are up against. Build up the momentum, tempo and pace. Counter attack only when the time is right. RDB clearly is a coach who likes that style.

On an ancient battlefield the kind of strategy most Sunderland supporters like to employ would probably have had their army annihilated.

I for one am prepared to back him to the end.

Have we? Pretty much everything Iv seen is them laughing at us for giving them money for him.
Pretty much everyone is going to wait and see we can’t do much else really.
Did you see the RR article? Someone taking the time to respond sensibly to questions. He was very positive.

I’ll take that over Twitter replies, especially if this place is any indication of what social media replies are like.

So like the japanese army they will find you hidden in a forest or up a tree in 30years time unaware that you had been defeated on the battlefield.

Well said sir….i for one will ignore the knee jerk negativity from the entrenched whiners and get behind the new manager and the club.
Looking forward now to see how the squad restructuring goes and the arrival of a clear team ethos and identity… the latter will require some patience.

He would have if he didn't fail is audition.

This the new line for people who spent the last month insisting Dodds was going to get the job?
Don't recall anybody insisting Dodds would get the job, unlike all the bullshit merchants (ITKS) telling everyone what was happening and getting nothing right.

Some posters (myself included) feared we might end up with Dodds by default.

Who knows he may get another audition in a few months.

lorient fans on the forum seem delighted to be getting rid and can't believe we are having to give them money for him. Doesn't bode well.

I wonder what the Sioux reference means ? Doesn't translate even when translated! Either way they seem happy to get rid and over the moon to be paid for the privilege, guess we'll see who's laughing next season, the cheese eating surrender monkeys or the roast beefs 😆😆

It could be money, which would make sense in context. A misspelling/slang of an old word for money
