My only concern is we seem to be doing everything French at the moment and I don’t quite get it. Some of the signings recently have been atrocious. No value at all.. I’m just wondering … surely they have a wider net than that

Exactly. He certainly isn’t setting the world on fire but not sure his appointment warrants loads of fume before he’s had a chance here. Especially with this coaching changes coming

I agree with a lot of your post, I’m not overjoyed about it, but I’m willing to give him a chance, I think you raise a lot of good points, and I can get behind what your saying.

The bit I’d dispute is you saying people hope he fails so they can prove a point. I totally disagree with that mind!! When people are wrong and things go well you tend to find people hold their hands up. In reverse it doesn’t happen.

Look at the last 10 pages, sarcastic comment after sarcastic comment giving people grief who’ve called the club out for shit. We appoint someone and they are tripping over themselves to have a go. The same was done in an august last year after the transfer window and a lot had egg on their faces.

It’s been a vile 6+ months supporting this club, and plenty posters pointed out it was coming and got abuse for saying that. When they were right and tried to give it back you’ve had the martyrs for months coming out with shite like “enjoy your party” “nobody said it was great” “well done for being right” basically being children rather than hold there hands up.

Now because we’ve made an appointment the same posters are coming out in numbers to do exactly what they claim is wrong to do when the shoes on the other foot. It’s pathetic pal.

Yes, but why have a go at fans for expressing concerns that the current regime has lost the plot?
This season was pure self-destruct mode. No wonder many posters have no faith in the owner and Speakman.
It remains to be seen if the club’s learnt their lesson. If they have, great, I’m sure they’ll earn trust. They’ve a long way to go for me, though…

He still got his team relegated. That was exactly your argument 'f***ing hell, employing a bloke that just got relegated' well Leverkusen did and won the league at a canter, Bayern Munich just have, West Ham did and got into Europe, Newcastle did and got to the Champions League.

Being an elite player means fuck all mind. See Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney etc...

I'm also not 'excited' I'm just willing to give the lad a chance and can acknowledge the relegation whilst also look at his playing style, tactics, youth development to see of he'll be a good fit here.

Just saying 'f***ing hell, he's been relegated is shite.
