Regis le Bris - confirmed

First of all, the French top flight is some distance behind the EPL. Secondly, did he get them promoted to the top flight in his fledgling years as a coach. Third of all, has he got any experience in leading teams to trophies?

No comparison at all really but the happy clappers will eat the shit that the club spoon feeds them
You want a manager who has won trophies? That's going to narrow the field right down.

This……any proper Sunderland fan will give him the chance to show he can be ( and therefore us) successful.
He will of course need help by targeted recruitment which may come about . The experienced goalkeeper just confirmed is a good start. Again don’t trot out the negative cliches
1. We are a selling club ( we are not)
2. We will buy only unproven and injury prone players…. We have been guilty of this in the past but the club has this transfer window to show that lesson have been learnt .
A final point on transfers…. More than any other season transfer activity will squeezed into the last week as Premier Clubs struggle with FFP and unload players. This will frustrate fans who want the signings we need yesterday.
We haven’t signed an experienced goalkeeper. Old but not experienced.
Also, stop the ‘proper fan’ bollocks…proper mug maybe.

I remember when Wolves operated like that, they got promoted to the Premier League and are still there.

Yeah, and the difference is they spent £20m on incomings and ran at a loss of £55m for that season. Their wage bill also doubled.

I'm sure we'll be doing similar.

The club take over 120 days to appoint a manager, end up being turned down by 5 coaches they went for to end up with at best 6th choice, and yet still people are queuing up to defend them.

Unreal.

I've read that he didn't meet work permit regulations and the club had to wait for an appeal. This after Still turned us down.

Interesting. We have Speakman in post o stop the brown envelope culture.
I very much doubt this appointment had anything to do with Speakman, KLD will have called the shots on this through agents and contacts in France and yes, no doubt the same channels a number of the French lads have come via.

If you want a Manager that ticks those 3 boxes and comes to Sunderland then you are living in cloud cocoo land
