Regis le Bris - confirmed

So in the whole 3 and a half years of being here there is 1 key player sold. And that player was suffering from a long term injury with his contract running out.

Hardly fits the narrative of a fire sale of or key players

Nutter 😂😂😂😂

They are hardly going to say we went after numerous targets who turned us down so we turned to this bloke.

Come on give it a rest

“As fans know, this process has been ongoing more than any of us would have liked. There has been a lot of rumours in the press, and it’s fair to say, as a club we could have been more efficient in doing things”

“We acknowledge this may have been a bumpy road, but after some of our initial advances did not come to fruition, we are excited and are incredibly keen to work with our new manager”

“We understand frustrations of our loyal fans, but we have done our due diligence, and believe this is a solid choice to take us forward”

Easy the above and it’s not my job, no lies, no spin, job done. Now what we’ll actually get

“Our new manager was always our number 1 choice. All rumours in the press were just rumours, we have got one of the best and most exciting coaches in europe and it’s who we always wanted. His first coaching session was one of the best we’ve ever seen”

See the difference?

Don’t know much about him tbh and until the new person is announced not gonna waste any time finding out about him/his style.

Just hope whoever is appointed gets the right support in terms of addressing the deficiencies in the squad.

You know they’ll speakeasy the fucker up, best coaching sessions and obsession’s cliques ahead.

I know some can gan overboard on the criticism but I don’t blame anyone given how the summer has gone so far.
I love a good moan on here but it has no relation to my match going outlook. I'd imagine it's the same for most others.

A dose of humility from the club would be well received rather than the arrogance and contempt we have become accustomed to.

Can someone let me know what his style of play is?

I remember a large portion of our fan base going mental when Neil & Mowbray were appointed as well - so (after sleeping on it) I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt if he’s appointed.

When was the last manager appointment when we didn’t have a thread of people moaning?

Nobody wanted Neil or Mowbray and they both worked out well so fingers crossed this one will too!
Yeah just ignore the context of the last 19 months and your post is totally spot on..

Makes grim reading, especially when you consider the bullshit the board have said about wanting Sunderland to have a certain identity of aggressive, attacking football.

Similar to Mowbray from what I’ve read

They averaged a low possession but I think that’s expected with how good the club are in comparison to others

They had a low number for final third passes simply because they’d keep the ball around the defence / midfield to invite the press and then play forward quickly to create a chance. Similar to our goal against reading under Mowbray

There is a video on you tube where a leeds fan breaks it all down when they were linked with him.

I've just watched it and it's quite interesting actually and he seems quite a forward thinking manager.
